Esmè knew that Kim was behind the crash. She just couldn't prove it. But she was thankful that Cain had pulled through. Esmè wasn't going to stop seeing him.

She was happy with him. And he made her smile. He had changed her life and helped her see that she was more than just Kim Tate's daughter. She was her own person.

Esmè hadn't spent much time at home farm. She was spending most of her time with Chas. The two of them had become close friends. And Esmè was loving how the Dingle's had accepted her so easily.

All she knew was that things weren't easy. And she knew that things weren't easy with her family. She felt isolated from them. But she wasn't giving up what made her happy.

Morning came and she was sitting in bed. She looked up as Grace walked in. "You're avoiding me. Why?" She asked.

Esmè sighed and shook her head. "Nothing. I'm just not wanting to be here. Is everything okay?"

Grace nodded. "You missed a lot. Mum walked in on me with Graham. I'm pregnant but booked in for an abortion. Mum's been seeing some dude called Will. Just got out of prison. So right up her street. Also, Will is Dawn's dad. Yeah. I know. I'm the same," she said.

"Wait. Rewind. You're pregnant?" Esmè asked.

Grace nodded. "Only until tomorrow. I can't be a mum at the moment. I'm not in the right headspace. How's Cain?" She asked.

Esmè smiled and nodded. "He's okay. I'm spending the night with him tonight. I'm fed up of how mum keeps trying to come between us. I love him. And I want to be with him," she told her.

Grace smiled. "Be with him then. Just be careful. I know you. And I know you're trying to figure out what happened with Cain and the crash. But it's not wise you cross mum," she told her.

Esmè shrugged and sighed. "I don't care if I'm being honest Grace. I love Cain. So I'm going to be with him. Regardless," she said.

"Okay. I just want you to be happy."

Esmè walked into the pub. She smiled to Chas who handed her a drink. "He's in bed. He's not waking up yet," she said.

Esmè rolled her eyes. "That doesn't surprise me. Is he okay?" She asked.

Chas nodded. "He's fine. Just being a lazy ass. Nate is in charge of the garage for now."

"Probably for the best. I don't know what to think about this. I feel so bad for whatever happened. And I can't help but think my mum had something to do with this," Esmè told her.

Chas frowned. "You're telling me that Kim Tate could be the reason my brother almost died?"

Esmè just sighed and nodded. "I think so. I can't be sure. I just need to find the proof I need."

Esmè walked into the bedroom. She saw Cain and smiled. "Aren't you a sight for sore eyes?" She said as she joined him.

Cain wrapped an arm around her. He kissed her lips. "Next week I'll be able to make it up to you," he told her.

Esmè cuddled into him. Not knowing the tension with the Dingle's and Tate's that was about to occur.
