Chapter 1: Fortunate Encounter

The rain poured down heavily, turning the night dark and blurry. On the Brooklyn Bridge, her car sped through the storm. She gripped the wheel tight, checking her mirror nervously. A black car had been following her for miles, its headlights glaring in the rain and the lights flashing in the sky.
A phone buzzed on the seat. She answered, her voice shaky. "Hello?"
"Where are you? Are you okay?" Mr. Ford's voice sounded worried.
"I'm on my way to meet you," she replied, trying to sound calm. "I turned off my main phone. They might be tracking me."
"Be careful. Don't let them find you. Do you have everything we need?"
"Yes, I have everything. I'll be there soon."
"Just get here safe."
She hung up, determined to lose the black car. She turned sharply, hoping to shake it off. But as she looked ahead, a loud honk made her gasp. A huge truck was speeding towards her from the front.
Rain fell hard as she failed to avoid the truck. Tears filled her eyes, scared but also remembering happy times.
"I can't believe she's here," she remembered saying, tears of joy streaming down her face on the day her baby was born.
"I know, she's perfect," her husband replied, his voice choked with emotion.
Another memory rushed in: her baby's first steps, holding her hand tight.
"Look at mommy!" they shouted together, laughing and crying with happiness.
Suddenly, there was a loud crash. Her car spun out of control. She felt weak, thinking about the envelope she had with her. It held important secrets, the reason she was in danger.
As everything blurred, she whispered a prayer for her family's safety, her mind drifting between memories of love and the danger she faced.
Her car turned upside down and landed on its side, almost falling off the bridge. The truck driver, dark against the rain, walked to her car and grabbed the envelope she was carrying. He hummed a haunting tune, singing softly, "In the quiet night, we trap the mouse's final move" as he checked the car.
Meanwhile, Mr. Ford on the other end of the phone call heard everything. His panic grew as he listened to the strange humming and a chilling voice saying, "It's done." As he walked away, the unsettling, uneven laugh came from the shadows, making the night feel colder and sending shivers down his spine.
As the truck driver hummed and walked away, he suddenly spoke into his phone. Mr. Ford's voice came through clearly, "Mrs. Brown, can you hear me?" His tone carried a sense of urgency and finality. In a shaky voice, Mrs. Brown replied, "He... he took... every... he took everything." Her words faded off as she passed out.
As he got in the truck and placed the envelope on the seat beside him and drove ahead, gently pushing her car until it tilted and dropped into the water below, causing a big splash. The classic rock music kept blasting from the truck's radio as he drove away into the night, leaving her sinking in the cold, dark water.
