A\N: This is my sixth Laura/Bradley oneshot in a while, it's short, romantic with a tragic tint to it because it's been announced that Julianna Margulies who plays Laura Peterson, won't be returning to reprise her role as the journalist which means Bradley and Laura won't be getting back together (crying.) So I decided to get them  back together. I hope you enjoy this one, Angels.

It's early and the sun is shining into the room through the slates of the closed blinds in what is now known as 'their bedroom.'. She's the only one awake which isn't surprising. Bradley is asleep still, on her side, her hand curled underneath her cheek, her hair a mess of blonde curls surrounding her face, she has a small smile on her face.

Golden rays of early morning sunlight land on Bradley's face that come in through the slates of the closed blinds, casting her in a soft golden blaze. Laura has never seen a more beautiful woman sleeping, and she's been with a lot of sleeping women over the years.

Bradley is one of the strongest women she's ever encountered. She's seen how much strength her girlfriend has inside her, but she's also seen the anger she's got inside her, hell she witnessed it firsthand. She saw the fear in Bradley's eyes when they were outed and she wanted nothing more to take the fear away and instill it in herself but she couldn't and she hated it. Laura witnessed the tears Bradley let fall when they were alone in her dressing room after her brother told everyone that their father hit a child while he was drunk with her and Hal in the backseat, Laura held her to her when Bradley cried into her about not being able to leave her little brother.

Laura has never felt so loved by anyone, not by her parents, not by any of her exes, but with Bradley... Bradley loves her with everything, and she loves Bradley, more than she can express to the blonde. Bradley stirs beside her but doesn't wake but she does move closer to her. Laura sighs quietly as she slips her hand into Bradley's. She leans down and brushes her lips against Bradley's forehead.

There was a time when she thought that she and Bradley would never have gotten back together, not after what she found out about Bradley. She was furious with her love, she was risking her own career, hell her freedom, for her brother who did nothing but drag her down and cause her pain time and time again, but the day Hal went to prison, after staying with Alex for a few hours after verdict and sentence had been read, Bradley had turned up outside her townhouse and launched herself at Laura, sobs shaking her entire tiny body. Laura immediately knew what she needed to do, why the blonde was there, and she did it: she took Bradley in her arms and led her inside, sat her down on the couch and simply held the woman she loved as she cried herself out whilst stroking her greasy messy blonde hair. Laura had guessed hygiene wasn't at the top of Bradley's list those past few days seeing as her little brother was set to spend years in prison.

After Bradley had cried herself to sleep in Laura's arms, Laura had spent the next two hours thinking about what she wanted to do and she had decided just as Bradley began stirring.

Laura smiles to herself as she flashes back to that night she told Bradley what she wanted.

Flashback:

Bradley stirs in her arms, Laura stills, not wanting to scare the blonde who has been sleeping for the last two hours. The sun has gone down and night has overtaken the city of New York.

"Laura?" Bradley says, her voice is full of sleep and is scratchy because of the amount of crying she's been doing. She'd know that perfume anywhere.

"Hey, honey." Laura says quietly, the nickname for the woman in her arms slipping out of her mouth before she can stop it, Bradley sits up and stares at the muted TV that is playing one of Laura's favourite movies. Laura stares at the blonde who hasn't spoken in the past 5 minutes, she places a hand on her e's shoulder, gently bringing her back into the room.
