Hello everyone!

This story is actually Turkish and written by the one and only hazalkarabulut. I'm just 'trying' to translate it into English, because this story really impressed me and it deserves to be read by much more people. But I'm not very good at English so, forgive me for my mistakes and... enjoy!

***

My name is Amelia Ruby Walmond. I was always bad at introducing myself and actually I am afraid that I may skip some important parts.

I'm a ghost. Also, I am dead. Dying is the first step to be a ghost. I will not tell you how I died or what happens when you die. Honestly, I don't want to ruin the surprise.

I'm beginning... We are all ready, right?

We are.

Of course.

It was hard at the first weeks. It's still hard though. I can't breathe. I know that because my lungs are burning. I'm in gap. Perhaps I had to say that I'm in dark but I didn't see the light. How would I understand that I'm in dark without knowing the light? I feel the breathe of the people around me, but I'm actually alone. Isn't it odd, that they are as near as they are far from me? My bones are broken, the pain is in my entire body. My finger tips are frosty, like my lips' rail. My screams turn back to me after hitting the rails. I'm drowning. I'm closing my eyes. Demons come closer with my every blink. I'm afraid. Or maybe I'm not. Because I don't know; how can a person know what fear is, without feeling safe?

I'm an echo.

An echo; travels in the universe, gains acceptance to nowhere.

I was human once. Not to live, wasn't my choice. I want to remember that I was human. I want to remember that I was loved, loving. I want to remember the days I could cry, my tears' touches on my cheeks. I want to remember the happiness, given by the laughters.

That's why I decided to write. I decided to write the short days I've lived, wind's accompaniment to me on the roads, colors' conversations with me.

My name is Amelia Ruby Walmond. I am echo, and the things that you're going to read are how I became.
