"More tea?" Rose poured some water from her plastic teapot into a small pink cup for her father who was sitting at a tiny little table in a corner by his daughter's closet, his knees protruding over the top of the table. Olivia was also in on the fun and held out her cup for her little sister to fill up

Just as Elvis brought the corner of the cup near the handle to take a sip of the water, Olivia gently elbowed him in the side

"Don't drink it." She whispered

"Why not? It's just water." He went on to take a sip though came to realize why Olivia warned him

It was straight up sugar water

Not to be rude, Elvis swallowed though shuddered afterwards at having to drink it. "You must really have a sweet tooth, honey." He coughed several times

"Nuh uh. That's how tea's supposed to be! Uncle Jerry said so!" Rose sat down in her chair

"Well I think I've got diabetes now." Elvis cleared his sugar covered throat

They looked to the door when James entered the room, a look of guilt coming over his face for interrupting his sister's tea party. "Liv, your friends are on the phone. They want to know if you want to go hangout tonight." He explained, Olivia excusing herself as she stood up and followed her brother downstairs to the red phone in the kitchen by the security monitors

"Hello?" She asked

"Hey! Me and Vivian are going to get some malts and burgers in about three hours. Do you want to come with us?" Esther greeted her friend from the opposite end of the receiver

"I'd have to ask my parents." Olivia wrapped a finger around the spiral cord out of nervousness. She always felt antsy when leaving the house because she had a fear of being kidnapped or worse

"Really? You're twenty one and you still have to ask your parents for permission? You know they won't care." Esther practically snorted a laugh

"They get worried when I'm by myself. I told you the story of how we got kidnapped before." Olivia reminded her with a bit of a defensive tone

"Ok, ok. Just call me back when you can if you want to go. Or have your parents call." Esther laughed at the last part before hanging up

Olivia placed the phone down with a frustrated sigh before heading back upstairs to Rose's room, taking a peek inside the room at hearing laughter coming from her sister. Elvis was standing by the bed with Rose hoisted up above him as he carefully yet gently tossed her in the air though was quick to catch the nine year old

"Again!" Rose grinned

"Again? You nearly cracked your head off the ceiling that time." Elvis stared at her in disbelief

"Ok, fine. No more." She sighed, allowing her father to place her down on the comforter of her bed. "Daddy, will you still love me when I'm older?"

"Only if you'll still love me too and don't forget about me." Elvis lightly tapped her on the nose

"Who could ever forget about you?" Rose questioned, absolutely appalled that he even said that

The young girl looked past her father when she spotted her sister making her way into the bedroom. "Dad? Can I hangout with my friends later?" She wringed her clammy hands, watching as he turned to face her

"Yes but be careful, ok? I worry about you." Elvis rubbed at the back of his head. Was he being a worrywart? Perhaps. But what parent wouldn't be? He only hoped no one would ever go after his kids again

"I know....you make me so happy, daddy." Olivia stepped closer to give her old man a hug, Elvis chuckling as he slipped his arms around her petite frame

"Likewise, baby." He murmured and pressed his lips to the top of her head

Olivia moved away after a minute of reveling in her dad's comfort, raising an eyebrow as she studied him for a moment

"What's that look for?" Elvis tilted his head ever so slightly

"You've got some grey hairs coming in." Olivia commented, laughing when he playfully shoved her in the direction of the door

She couldn't ask for a better father in her life. Elvis Presley was simply the best
