First Day

I had just parked my car and got out stretching. "Well today is the start of a new school year Trace and hopefully it will be better than the last one we went to." I thought to myself as I heard the bell ring, running to make it to my first class.

I barely made it and sat down next to a girl with braces and headgear. She was pretty and had long blonde curly hair and big blue eyes.

"Hi my name is Tracie." I replied smiling at her.

Skye wasn't sure how to react since nobody else had ever bothered to speak to her unless they were making some nasty, jackassy comments, but she thought maybe this girl would actually be nice to her, so she smiled warmly. "Hi Cher, my name is Skylar, nice to meet you."

Tracie snarled when she heard some people in the back making rude comments and whispering about her and Skye.

"Ignore them Hun, they're idiots and not worth the breath." Skye stated.

"Do you have any friends here Skye?" Tracie asked, looking at her. Tracie remembered what her grams told her this morning. "Look after Skye." Her grams told her, even though she wasn't sure who Skye even was. " And if it gets to be too much then look for Remy and have him help you."

"No Cherie, nobody here likes me and if they do, it's only to see what they can get from me." Skye said, looking down at the floor sadly.

"I'll be your friend Skylar. Won't nobody mess with you or touch you because believe it or not, you have someone here who is madly in love with you." Tracie said as she looked at Skye with warm blue/green eyes.

"You're joking right?" Skye asked. As far as she knew nobody liked her.

"Who would want her, she's ugly and a social outcast." A girl in the back asked with a smile that wasn't exactly warm and welcoming and it didn't reach her eyes either.

"Shut the hell up, you ugly troll." Tracie snarled before getting up and looking at Skye. "I'll be right back Hun, I'm going to go get the guy who likes you and a few women who are attracted to you as well.

Skyes jaw dropped.

It wasn't hard to find Remy, he was one of the schools top athletes. Tracie walked up to him. "Excuse me, are you Remy?"

"That would be me petite, what can the ragin cajon do for you?" Remy asked smiling.

"I need your assistance. You see there's a young lady in class named Skylar who is constantly being bullied by people and I was told you liked her and that if I had issues to come find you." Tracie said.

"Lead the way Cher." Remy said as he followed her into the classroom and sat behind Skye. Oh and you might wanna find Diz and Chas, if you don't mind and have them join us in here as well."

Tracie had only to think their names and they walked in and sat down close to her, Remy and Skye.

"Who's giving her a hard time?" Diz asked, looking around the room at everyone with jet black eyes.

"That group back in the back." Tracie said as she grinned, showing fangs and glowing green eyes.

Remy smirked. "Let them get stupid, just one time and they won't end up having the best of days."

Skye looked around and when Remy's eyes met hers, she blushed, but couldn't look away.

"Ah hello there Cherie." Remy said as he looked at Skye.

"Ah..um..Hi." Skye replied shyly.

Diz and Chas looked at her and smiled. "It's ok Skylar, we won't let anyone hurt either of you."

"And to make sure of that let me go get my brother. You three watch over her until I get back." Remy said as he got up and looked at the folks in the back, seeing the shocked expressions on their faces.

It only took around five minutes before Remy walked back in with more brothers than he had planned on, but it didn't matter one way or the other.

J sat down next to Tracie and smiled. "Hi my name is James but everyone calls me J unless they've pissed me off or hurt family, then they call me their worst nightmare."

Tracie giggled. "Hi my name is Tracie but everyone calls me Red for obvious reasons." She said pointing at her hair.

"Hi Loki and Lucifer." Tracie said smiling as she noticed Chas and Diz looking at them and drooling somewhat.

"Hi Red. They both replied, hugging her and kissing her on the cheek before sitting next to Diz and Chas.

The bell rang, indicating it was time for lunch.

Skye grabbed her stuff and got up, following everyone, when she was shoved face first into a row of lockers.

Tracie was the first one to hear the sound and dropped everything she was carrying and ran straight to where she saw the same students from class attacking her.

"If I were you, I'd quickly change my thoughts on attacking her before I kick all of your asses." Tracie replied not so quietly.

"Who the hell is gonna stop us again? Exactly? You? Or that pussy ass chicken shit Remy?" One of them asked.

Remy heard the commotion and ran lightning quick as he saw his sister snarl, right before she jumped in and started punching one of them.

Remy called out to the others as they came running. Tracie stood next to Skye to protect her.

J looked at the group causing all this unnecessary bullshit and cleared a path to Tracie and Skye with Remy right behind him. "you two go with chas and Diz. We got this." Remy said as he kissed Skye, making it clear that she was his and not to be fucked with.

Tracie grabbed Skye's hand. "You ok?"

"Yeah I'm ok Cherie and thanks for coming back to help me." Skye said.

"Hey that's what friends do, or more like family." Tracie said smiling.
