She buried herself in the soft pillow as sleep engulfed her, wrapped in a blanket as the gentle sunlight filtered through her window, The room was quiet.

Abruptly, the shrill sound of the alarm clock pierced, jolting her awake-she reached out to turn off the alarm while rubbing her eyes.

The peacefulness of my slumber was replaced by the hustle and bustle of the day ahead, as she started her morning routine.

She rose up from her place adjusting herself as she awakened her eyes, a sudden yell filled with frustration and anger echoing from downstairs caught her attention. Sofia, her step sister.

Curiosity piqued, as she hesitated for a moment, wondering what could be happening, then walked out of the room and strolled way downstairs.

Her body trembled with slight fear.

As she reached the end, her palm turned sweaty as her face turned a mess of fear.

She is again the little scared girl.

"There's no way I would marry someone for your interests, cherry on top i haven't even seen him. Do whatever you can but end this drama." she shouted staring at Gabriel in eyes, as anger consumed her blood.

"My princess isn't going to suffer because of you," Eliza supported Sofia being her lovely mother while Gabriel sighed at their tactics.

Gabriel is Luna's father, a fact she refuses to accept as following her mother's death, he remarried already engaging in an affair with his secretary, Eliza.

"So, what do you both want? fantasies without paying for them, is this some kind of royal family." Gabriel stated in a firm tone as the mother-daughter whispered to each other.

Luna quickly hides beneath the door reached as soon as possible trying not to be found by their gazes, until it all went in vain.

Sofia wandered around and accidentally her eyes laid on Luna leading her to curve her lips into an evil smile that brought solace to her heart.

Her steps hurriedly towards Luna as her mind played a mischievous plan, Luna rested her back on the wall turning her breaths halt at moments as she noticed the scenario.

She impulsively reached in and grabbed Luna's hand leading her to stumble on the floor, each sharp pang caused her to wince as it resonated through her like a storm.

"We already have a bride," sofia exclaims, clapping her hands twice as she bent down and lifted up Luna's chin to face her.

"Oh poor thing!" Eliza cooperated with sofia as their thinking entwined agreeing in whatever she said.

Is this a replaced bride book trope? Luna thought to herself as she couldn't figure out what to do.

"but.." Luna tried to interrupt though her voice turned hazy, as she encountered Eliza strode over to her fiercely.

Without a moment's hesitation, she delivered a sharp slap to Luna's head, her cheeks were against the floor as tears streamed down her face leaving her vulnerable and disoriented.

"We can also get rid of her by this, after all what's even the point of having her in this house, dirt should be cleaned as early as possible." Eliza commented earning a curving smile from Gabriel as he nodded with a silent chuckle.

After a few moments of silence, the atmosphere grew heavy with anticipation, until sofia trails to Luna stepping on her feet on her finger furiously.

She shutters her eyes close as the pain sting sharply throughout her hand, and she quickly got herself away.
