Right Hand Man

The Gottwald sisters stare out of Milly's bedroom window as they are all thinking about the same thing. "Britannian General Bartley's got troops on the water. 32 thousand troops in Tokyo harbour." 

Somewhere else in the city Lelouch was standing beside Suzaku, Ohgi, Tamaki, and Rivalz. "As a kid in Shinjuku I wished for a war. I knew that I was poor I knew it was the only way to rise up. If they tell my story, I am either gonna die on the battlefield in glory or rise up. I will fight for this land, but there's only one man who can give us a command and rise up. Understand? It's the only way to rise up. RISE UP!" They all turn around and Lelouch says: "Here he comes."

Suzaku runs to a bunch of refugees waiting to get some food. "Ladies and gentlemen. The moment you've been waiting for. The pride of Mount Fuji. KYOSHIRO TOHDOH"

Tohdoh screams out of his knightmare frame. "WE ARE OUTGUNNED. OUTMANNED. OUTNUMBERED. OUTPLANNED. WE GOTTA MAKE AN ALL OUTSTAND. AYO I'M GONNA NEED A RIGHT HAND MAN!"

He then jumps back into his knightmare frame holding his hand over his face. "Check it. Can I be real a second? For just a millisecond? Let down my guard and tell the people how I feel a second? Now I'm the model of a moderated general the venerated Japanese veteran whose men are all lining up, to put me up on a pedestal writing letters to relatives embellishing my elegance and eloquence. But the elephant is in the room. The truth is in your face when you hear the British canons go BOOM! Any hope of success is fleeting. How can I keep leading when the people I'm leading keep retreating. We put a stop the bleeding as the Britannians take Niigata. Knight takes rook. But look. (Chorus repeats)"

"I'm in dire need of assistance." Tohdoh sighs as he clasps his hands together. "Your excellency, sir." Someone says. "Who are you." He replies. "Suzaku Kururugi, sir. Permission to state my case?" Tohdoh files some paperwork. "As you were." "Sir, I was a captain under general kusukabe until he caught a bullet in the neck in Quebec. And well in summary. I think I could have some assistance. I admire how you keep firing on Britannia from a distance." Tohdoh chuckles. "I have some questions, a couple of suggestions on how to fight instead of fleeing west." Suzaku concludes. Tohdoh sighs. "Yes?" "Well" Suzaku started.

"Your excellency. You wanted to see me?" "Lelouch come in, have you met Suzaku?" "Yes sir, we keep meeting." Suzaku looks back to Tohdoh. "As I was saying sir, I look forward to seeing your strategy play out." Tohdoh interrupts him. "Kururugi, close the door on your way out." Suzaku stares at him stunned but still leaves the room. 

"Is there something wrong, sir?" Lelouch asks. "On the contrary, I brought you here because our odds are beyond scary. Your reputation proceeds you, but I have to laugh." Tohdoh stops to chuckle once again as Lelouch looks at him confused. "Sir?" He asks. Tohdoh regains his composure. "Lamperouge, how come no one can get you on their staff?" Lelouch has an offended look on his face. "Sir?!" Tohdoh continues. "Don't get me wrong, you're a young man of great renowned. I know you stole Britannian weapons when we were still down town. Taizo Kirihara and Henry Knox wanted to hire you." Lelouch scoffs and looks away. "Yeah, to be their secretary, I don't think so." Tohdoh raises an eyebrow. "Now why are you upset?" Lelouch looks back at him. "I'm not." Tohdoh looks at Lelouch dead in the eye. "It's alright, you wanna fight. You've got a hunger. I was just like you when I was younger. Head full of fantasies of dying like a martyr." Lelouch nods excitedly. "Yes." Tohdoh looks at him stoically. "Dying is easy young man. Living is harder." Lelouch looks confused. "Why are you telling me this?" Tohdoh shakes his head. "I'm being honest. I'm working with a third of what our congress has promised. We are a powder keg about to explode, I need someone like you to lighten the load. So?" Tohdoh says as he holds out a pen and a contract for Lelouch to sign. Lelouch looks shocked as voices start to repeat something over and over. "I am not throwing away my shot. I am not throwing away my shot. Hey yo, I'm just like my country, I'm young scrappy and hungry!" Lelouch takes the pen and contract. "I am not throwing away my shot." 

Tohdoh then speaks up. "Son, we are outgunned, outmanned." Lelouch then speaks up as he signs the contract. "We need all the help we can get. I have some friends. Ohgi, Asahina, Shinchiro Tamaki. Ok what else?" Tohdoh then speaks up again "outnumbered, outplanned." Lelouch continues. "We need some spies on the inside. Some kings' men who might let some things slide." A gunfire goes on from outside. "I'll write to the Black Knights and tell 'em we need supplies. You rally the guys, master the element of surprise." Another gunfire goes off. "I'll rise above my station, organise your information. Till we rise to the occasion of our new nation sir!" The Japanese people gather around as Tohdoh walks out with Lelouch. "Here comes the general .  Rise up! Here comes the general. Rise up! Here comes the general. Rise up! Here comes the general." Lelouch screams to the soldiers. "Hut!" Tohdoh then screams as he points to Lelouch. "AND HIS RIGHT HAND MAN!" Then another gunfire goes off as the people of Japan cheer.
