A/N: I was wondering if people knew this but when I put the same day twice that's not a mistake that's just the same day hut on part of day one part is night. I'm trying to spread out my story more that's probably why I'm creating night and day chapters for one day.
Trigger warnings: Talks of suicide. ___________________________________ Bucky's POV:
After showing Frigga to her room earlier, Bucky decided that he is going to sleep in Auroras bedroom for a change. He is already sound asleep holding Aurora close to him and Alpine is sleeping at the end of the bed, he can feel her fur against his feet.
His mind goes foggy, he already knows what this is. It's a nightmare, once it starts, he hard to stop it no matter how hard he tries. His body feels cold like how it would be when he got taken out of cryofreeze. Images of the old Hydra base flash through his head.
He remembers it vividly, the place that somehow looked modern and run down at the same time. The building always looked like some sort of secret underground bunker, it looked worn but secret and impenetrable. It always smelled like metal and blood, most of the time Bucky couldn't tell if it was his own blood he was smelling or someone else's. It was most likely his owns, Hydra was always torturing him.
He feels like his body is getting dragged, in his mind he sees that old chair. The one that shocked him and messed his memory up and made him the winter soldier. He starts to scream, it's like he can still feel it in real life, what he doesn't realise is that he's actually screaming and it woke up Aurora.
He hears her voice distantly calling him, but he can't wake up. Suddenly the scene in his nightmare changes and he's chasing after a car on his motorcycle. He knows what nightmare this one is it's the one where he killed Tony's parents, again.
He's at the part where he is wrapping his metal hand around Tony's mother to choke her to death. It feels so real like he's actually got his hand around her neck right now. He hears Auroras voice again call out his name but this time it's more distant and raspier.
He opens his eyes suddenly to see his metal hand is wrapped around Auroras neck. He lets go and his chest rises and falls rapidly, he feels frozen. He notices Auroras hand reaching out to touch him but he swats it away. He gets up and sits down on the floor and cradles himself. Alpine follows him and nudges him.
He watches as Aurora sits next to him and his ears perk up when he hears her start to sing. "I stormsvate fjell, jeg vandrer alene. Over isbreen tar jeg meg frem I eplehagen står møyen den vene. Og synger: "når kommer du hiem?" Men trærne danser og fossene stanser. Når hun synger, hun synger "kom kiem." Men trærne danser og fossene stanser. When she sing, she sings "come home." When she sings, she sings "come home.""
Bucky smiles sadly at her. "That was beautiful."
"It's an old Asgardian lullaby my mother use to sing to me, it would help me sleep after I had a nightmare." Aurora says.
