//H's POV//

Kira is what they're calling them. Interesting. Interesting name indeed. But why that name out of all of them? That's another mystery for another day. Today's mystery (and most likely the next month's mystery) is finding out who Kira is and stop him.

Why would Kira be doing this? What's his motive? He can't be doing this for fun. Every killer has a motive. So why? Why kill all of these people. There has to be a connection. I need to connect the data.

I need an investigation team. Some people who could help me get closer to who I think is Kira. Yes. That's exactly what I need. But where do I find one? I'll find one after I rule out some suspects before I get one though. Smart idea H. 

//Varian's POV//

I woke up, rubbing my eyes. I only got about 3 hours of sleep last night. Maybe 2? I'm not sure. I shift my body around to see that shinigami staring at me.

"Ah shit! I forgot you were here!" I said, jumping out of bed.

"Am I really that forgetful?" Ryuk said.

I stared at him with my tired eyes. "When I wake up, I forget everything for the next five minutes. So yes, of course I forgot about you!"

"Hey, ya got any apples?" He asked out of the blue.

I shook my head no. "But when I stop by the palace, I can get one for you."

"Palace? Those still exist?"

"Of course they do. How long has it been since- never mind. Anyway, I'm going into the kingdom, and you are not allowed to follow, alright? You stay put."

Ryuk rolled his eyes. "Fine, fine, but you  better get me an apple."

"I will, I will, don't worry." I said as I put on my satchel and left the room.

As I was walking towards the palace, I keep on hearing people saying that a detective was in town, trying to track Kira. Ah shit, of course there is. Why wouldn't there be? I guess I just have to be extra careful from now on.

I walked into the palace and up into Rapunzel's room. She invited Lance, her husband Eugene, and Cassandra, who was back for a bit. Now these people, these people I can always trust. Unless they promise something. Then I can't and won't trust them.

"Varian!" Rapunzel ran up and gave me a hug. "So glad you were able to come!"   

I hugged Rapunzel back. "Yeah.." I had a feeling I knew what this was about..

After Rapunzel let me breath, Eugene put me in a headlock and messed up my hair (like idk how to expain it) "How's my little buddy doing?"

"Fine.. I'm doing fine.."

"Fine?" Lance asked. "Just fine? C'mon have you had any eyes on girls or boys or someone?"

I blushed from embarrassment from what Lance had said. "No! Lance, why would you even ask that?"

"We were just wondering, hair stripe!" Eugene said, releasing me from the head lock.

I turned around to see Cassandra right in front of me. Whenever I see her, I always get awkward. Mainly because of my old crush on her from my younger years. It would have never happened though, mainly because of the age difference and her being a lesbian. 

"Hey Cassie.." I said.

"Hey Varian." She replied.

Before either of us could say anything else, Rapunzel spoke up. "Okay guys, we need to talk about Kira."
