He wasn't sure why but he felt a sense of closeness towards her. As though, even if he had to give the entire Lee Group to Jennie right now, he would be willing.

His sharp gaze then shifted towards the silent Somi. Once more, he felt keenly that her intentions were impure.

He recalled that Somi had provided her and her father's, Lee Xuan's, hair.

He had a DNA test conducted with that along with his own hair and confirmed that her father was indeed his son. According to the results, she was also certainly her granddaughter.

Somi was absolutely a blood relative of the Lee family. During the DNA test, he had sent his own subordinate to observe the entire process. The results could not be wrong.

This was the truth. Why was it then, that he did not feel close to Somi at all?

Lee Jingyuan found this embarrassing.

"No, no, no." Jennie rushed to wave her hands. "Grandfather Lee, it'll be enough that you're present. You don't have to prepare any gifts."

Lee Jingyuan glanced at Lisa. Just by sitting there, Lisa's charisma was undeniable. He was a noble and powerful presence and was definitely a king among men!

At times, he truly envied the Old Manoban for having such an outstanding grandson.

On the other hand, he only had a granddaughter whom he did not like very much.

Still, it was a blessing that he had a granddaughter. The Lee family barely had any children left.

"You didn't even address me as 'Grandfather' when you saw me." Jingyuan turned to Lisa sternly. It was clear who he was addressing this to.

"Director Lee." Lisa only gave him a polite response.

"Even Jennie calls me Grandfather Lee. You're so impolite."

Lisa was unfazed. He responded coldly. "If Director Lee is unhappy, please feel free to leave."

Lee Jingyuan was speechless. He rubbed his beard and glared at him. "You... I won't be petty with a junior."

"Just because you are older, it doesn't mean you can take advantage of your seniority."

"You have a strong character." Lee Jingyuan did not become angry.

Instead, he praised him with a smile. He then sighed. "It's a pity. If only you could become my grandson-in-law."

Somi suddenly blushed. She spoke shyly. "Grandfather..." She also wished she could marry Lisa.

Lisa glanced at Somi's shy and bashful expression. His gaze was filled with mocking. "I'm not interested in that granddaughter of yours."

"Cousin..." Somi was bluntly humiliated. Her eyes reddened in grievance.

She originally assumed Jingyuan would stand up for her. However, she was unaware that even Jingyuan himself hoped for a different granddaughter. It was a pity that matters of blood relation could not be altered.

He patted her shoulder in comfort. "Somi ah, Grandfather was wrong. I made an inappropriate joke."

"It's alright." Somi felt upset internally, but she supported Jingyuan to sit on the couch. "Grandfather, please sit down. You must be tired. I'll massage your shoulders for you."

She then began pressing on his shoulders.

Lisa lifted his wrist and checked the time. It was already midnight. He frowned. "Jennie, go home and rest. It won't be good if you attend our wedding with a pair of dark eye circles."

"But Grandfather..." She spoke up in concern.

"I'll stay by his side." Lisa responded. "My parents will come by soon. I'll go home to rest after."

She nodded. "En. Then I'll go next door to visit my father for a while before returning to the Kim family's villa."
