"Grandfather, I will!" Somi suddenly broke into tears. She cried as though her heart was aching badly. "Grandfather, I, I'm so happy that you care so much for me!"
Lee Jingyuan sat down by the bedside to embrace her. "Silly child, what are you crying for?"
"Grandfather, won't you stay away from Jennie?" Somi spoke in grievance. "You don't know this. Although I'm the Manoban family's adopted daughter, all of them treat me as though I'm an outsider. You're my only family right now. I don't want Jennie to steal away your love for me too."
She appeared to be like a child who was jealous.
Lee Jingyuan rubbed her head lovingly. "Silly child. It's true that Jennie and I hit it off well. However, you are my actual granddaughter. I'll always dote on you the most. I understand the difference very well."
'But you aren't promising to stay away from Jennie.' Although Somi thought this way internally, she understood that she could not go too far. "En, alright then."
"Our Lee Group has over a hundred years of history. You are the great Lee Group's only successor. You don't need the Manoban family on your side." Jingyuan said, "In the future, the Lee family is your actual home. Come by and stay here often."
"Grandfather!" Somi was in tears as she appeared deeply moved. In truth, however, she hated this old thing to the core.

"Grandfather, do you know?" Somi brought up some things that were mentioned previously in the Manoban family. "Back when my father was alive, he told me that you loved collecting antiques, and that you were especially fond of a particular antique sword from the Han Dynasty. He even said that you owned a jade ring that belonged to the Qing Dynasty's Empress Dowager. He said that you only wore that ring once every month. He also said that you disliked eating onions and fish..."
She sobbed in tears. "Back when my father was alive, he remembered all of your likes and dislikes clearly. However, he regretted it deeply that he was never able to express his filial piety towards you. In the future, I will definitely help my father in taking good care of you."
"Good, good." After hearing these words, Lee Jingyuan was reminded of his third son, Lee Xuan. He was soon in tears as well.
He instructed his granddaughter to rest early before he left the room.
The moment he left, the tears on Somi's face stopped flowing. A hint of hatred flashed past her eyes.
She had temporarily gained control of this damned old man.
However, he was someone who kept his word. Since he mentioned that he would visit Jennie's father, Dong Lee, another day, he would definitely do so.
The two of them were father and son.
