The bright starry night shined through the darkness. It felt so cold yet so warm to be with her.
"Sonic." Amy stood in front of him. Sonic stared at her confused with her sudden gesture. "I know you're worried about them, but it's okay. They're going to be fine."
Sonic's face turned calm as he listened to her words, he grabbed her hand and gently placed his lips on it.
"But I'm also worried about you..." Sonic muttered. Amy's surprised but then she smiles at him with loving eyes.
"Don't worry Sonikku, I'll be okay too" She reassures him.
"There you go with that name again" Sonic chuckles.
Sonic and Amy sit next to each other on a field of roses. Amy turns a bit to stare at him and slightly blushes.
"You know...I've always wanted to sit with you in a field with roses...but we already made it our spot!" Sonic laughs.
"Really...?" Amy leans closer towards him in curiosity and surprise. Sonic blushes from the sudden movement and gets nervous.
"I- I mean, uh- I" Sonic stutters like a dork, he's so terrible with romance. Amy realises her position and moves back a bit. Sonic is a bit saddened because of it as he liked having her close to him.
"I've always looked up to you, I've always wanted to be around you because you made me feel so safe but now I feel like I can defend myself in any circumstances" Amy opens up to him a bit. Sonic stared at her in relief but also hurt.
"Of course, you're strong, Amy,...but I'm here to protect you as well"
They sit quietly in thought, as the rose petals fly through the wind, the sun starts to rise as well as Sonic's feelings for Amy.
"Amy..., I-"
"Sonic, do you read me? It's Tails! Eggman is coming to attack! Run here soon! Genius out!"
"Tails is in trouble, Sonic! We should go quickly!"
"...Stupid dumb Eggman, stupid smart tails" Sonic groans to himself.
