I walked into the daycare sleepy from the long night I had with Lucas. He had a fever of 101 and was crying all night long.
"Hey girlie, you look awful." Quinn told me.
"You really know how to make people feel good about themselves." I said sarcastically. She laughed and took Lucas from me. I'd texted her earlier to make sure it's okay if he's still here when he has a cold. She said it'd be fine so I'm not gonna argue.
The bell from the door rang behind me and I turned around. It was Niall and his daughter Laney.
"Hey, you again!" He smiled when he saw me.
"Good morning to you too." I said and returned the smile.
"Mommy!" Keegan said quietly while tugging on my hand. I looked down at her and she pointed to the small family in front of us.
"Keegan was wondering if her and Laney could have a play date." I told Niall.
"Tonight!" Keegan yelled out.
"We would love to. I can just follow you to your place when we pick the kids up later this evening." Niall suggested.
"Yeah sounds great." I smiled. Keegan and Laney ran off to the room and Niall and I left.

I was only thirty minutes late to pick up the kids. That is probably a record for me. I saw Niall's car already in the parking lot so I hurried and got out of the car. When I went inside I heard a guitar strumming. I peaked into the main room to see Niall with a guitar and the kids standing in front of him, beside Lucas who was in Quinn's arms. He strummed his guitar a few more times before starting to sing.

He finished singing and we all just stared and the beautiful music we had just heard. The short silence was broken by the two little girls screaming in joy and laughing. I smiled to myself, this guy is not like other guys. And I am determined to figure out what makes him so special?
