Location - The Library
Mitsuka's POV
"Who are you?" I asked as I stared at the stranger.
"Oh, forgive me." He said politely. "My name is Reiji, and in a few weeks, I'll be starting at Kaisei Academy as a second-year student."
"Oh, nice to meet you, Reiji-kun." I said with a smile. "My name is Mitsuka, and I am a first-year student at Kaisei Academy."
"Mitsuka, huh?" He smiled back at me. "That's a cute name."
I felt my heart skip a beat when he said that. He really said my name is cute... I don't think any guy has ever said that to me before, not even (Y/N).
"Really? Thank you." I said and giggled cutely.
"Hehe, you're welcome."
I was staring at Reiji for a while, and before I knew it, the day got away from us. The library was going to close at any minute.
"Oh, sorry, I should probably get going." I said to him.
"It's fine. I hope to see you around sometime."
He waved to me as I left the library, and as soon as I start to walk home, I was beginning to feel butterflies in my stomach. There's no way I could be falling for him already... I just met the guy. But I heard that it could happen, right?

The next day...
Location - Kaisei Academy, Courtyard
Your POV
Mitsuka and I are eating our lunches outside in the courtyard like we always do. However, I couldn't help but notice something... She seemed so... happy. I decided to ask what was up.
"Mitsuka, is everything okay?" I asked.
"Yeah... everything is perfect." She replied, sighing happily.
"Perfect? Did something good happen?" I asked.
"Yeah, I met someone interesting in the library the other day." She said and sighed happily. I have never seen her so happy before? Could it be that she found love? I need more information.
"Really? Can you tell me who it is?" I asked.
"He said his name is Reiji, and he said he's going to be joining us next year at Kaisei Academy." She explains.
Mitsuka was going on and on about Reiji, and how amazing he was. I truly am happy for her, but... the name does sound familiar. It's not who I think it is, is it?
"(Y/N), why are you so silent?" She asked.
"Ah, no reason." I replied. "More importantly, I am happy that you were able to find someone you have a good connection with."
"Thanks, buddy." She grinned. "Your support honestly means a lot to me."
The bell starts to ring for afternoon classes, just in time because Mitsuka and I were done with our lunches.
"Well, I better get going. Catch you later, bestie." She said before going inside.
I went inside myself, but I couldn't stop thinking about the guy she was seeing. It can't be the same guy, right? In order to be sure about this, I'll have to see this guy for myself.
