that night isabella decided to sleep round leah's as she couldn't be bothered to walk home after dinner. this was a common occurrence for the girls, even going as far as having the bottom draw in leahs room dedicated to bella's clothes. it got to around midnight and leah had been sound asleep for around an hour, as well as the rest of the house. bella, however, was sat up anxiously staring at her phone, just how she had been for the last three hours. bradley hadn't answered any of her messages this evening and she was beginning to fear something bad could have happened to him. she had had enough of nibbling the inside of her cheek once it reached ten past twelve. she instead decided to go downstairs to roll and smoke a blunt, maybe ringing his phone whilst she was at it. he would never be asleep at this time and was most likely playing video games with his dad.

after wrapping her sheer black robe around her, she grabbed her rolling tin from under leah's bed and quietly creaked open the bedroom door. the whole house was silent except for the quiet hum of music from downstairs somewhere. apparently she wasn't the only person awake like she had initially thought.

wanting to be respectful, she slowly crept down the stairs, knowing which spots to avoid to create the least amount of noise possible. her baby pink fluffy socks cushioned her toes further so she became virtually silent. the closer she got to the kitchen, the louder the music became. eventually, she could make out the lyrics to slipknot's song snuff. this gave away the persons identity immediately, though she was slightly surprised to hear a song she herself liked being played by his phone.

whilst in the doorway to the kitchen, she could see his tall frame leant over the counter, low and barely audible hums leaving his mouth in time to the song. he ran a hand through his hair, the strands flopping back into his face immediately and proving his attempt completely futile. if he wasn't such an asshole, bella thought she could have potentially seen why girls at school seemed to become infatuated with him. he was tall, taller then bradley anyways, with large hands that were slightly calloused from whatever activities he got up to in his spare time. his features were— bella stopped her thought process before she spiralled down a sleep deprived driven spiral she didn't want to slip down.

"do you have to be everywhere?" she spat out instead with an eye roll. judd didn't jump, almost as if he knew she was there the entire time. instead he turned to her with a half rolled blunt in his hands, his pink tongue darting out to swipe across the brown paper to activate the glue. he had a bored expression on his face, like usual for him, though his eyes quickly took in isabella's appearance when she had turned her back to put down her rolling tin.

a sheer black robe, pink satin short shorts with a black lace trimming and a matching black lacy bralette. he forced his eyes down to tucking his blunt to preoccupy his mind. as much as he absolutely hated bella, he was still a hormonal teen, and she was objectively gorgeous.

"you do realise this is my parents house, don't you? why don't you fuck off home for a change." his tone was just as bored as his expression. isabella snorted, not turning back to him as she constructed a big enough joint to send her straight to sleep.

"your family prefer having me here then you." she remarked, finally turning back to him as she leant against the counter opposite him and ground her weed in her metallic grinder. judd was poking his down with the guts of his clipper and mimicked the way she leant against the counter.

"like i care what those retards think. can't even have a smoke without you following me around." his words made her chuckle bitterly, spinning back around to tap the green into her papers.

"ironic. i'm being called a stalker by a shit version of michael myers." she shook her head, a few more chuckles leaving as she did. somehow she always found a way to get under judd's skin and now was no different. he scoffed, not justifying her with a response before he left the warm kitchen for the darkness of his backyard. bella finished her rolling at an expert pace which only came with her years of experience and practice.
