'Two sides' was the original name for my new book. It was later changed to 'Thin lines between love and hate'.
This story is mainly about two characters. Kaylani Peterson, 16yrs old and Jh'amir Brooks, 18yrs old. Both are experiencing difficulties in their household. Line will cross and bridges will burn.
Kaylani is a determined and intelligent teenager with hopes of getting top scores on her Cxc examinations in order to persuade big elite universities in offering her a full ride scholarship or at least cover fifty percent of her academic tuition. Kaylani will learn that it takes more than just her brain to get her the break she needs.
Meanwhile, Jh'amir is an aspiring athlete that shock Kingston with his spectacular performance in Cxc the prior year and continues do to well in sixth form in order to achieve his dreams of becoming a pro athlete and architect.
In the midst of it all they both have one common denominator. Their fathers. Both are despicable in their own right, forces their children to take on roles they wish not to bare.
They must find a way to deal with their fathers otherwise giving up on their dreams is the only optional solution for them.
Secrets will be revealed. Hearts will be left broken. Trust is shattered. But will there be any hope for their love at the end of this game?
