It's the morning of the party. I look over to the other side and Jay was still sound asleep. I roll over and just look at how peaceful he was. Drawing tiny circles on his chest with my finger as I take this sight in with his steady breathing.
"Goodmorning beautiful" he says groggily
"Morning" I say back
"It's a big day today. I can't believe the kids are turning 3 already" he says
"Time flies by fast. Come on get up" I say before getting up
"You know, I didn't get my dessert last night" Jay chuckles
"Well you're just gonna have to wait a little longer I suppose" I said before going into the bathroom
I took a quick shower then put on a two piece leopard print dress. I curled my hair into loose waves and did my basic winged makeup and lashes.

"Well hot damn mama" Jay said coming in
"Not too much now" I said giving him a peck on the cheek before heading over to the kids room
"Mama what are we wearing?" Halston asks
"I got you both these safari jumpsuits" I said pulling them out of the closet
"Hey our names are on there!" Kai says
"That's cool" Halston says
"Let's hop in the shower and get you guys ready" I said
I showered them both then dressed. I brushed Kai's hair back and spiked the front a bit. For Halston, I put her hair up a high ponytail with a bow.
"Thank you mama" Halston says
"Where's daddy?" Kai asks
"He's in the room getting ready. You guys can go in" I said
I followed the kids back into my room where Jay was.
"You look cool daddy!" Halston chimes
"Do I? Mama said I don't" Jay tease
"I did not!" I pouted
"I'm just joking. You both ready for your party?" Jay chuckles
"Yes!" Both kids yelled
We all headed downstairs and prepared for the arrival of all the guests.
-2 hours later-
The guests have arrived. PD and Fire crew were all here along with their significant others. A few of my friends and family were here as well. The kids were really enjoying their time with the other kids. Gifts filled the table and lots of pictures were being taken.
"The decorations are phenomenal" Erin says
"Thank you! Took me and Jay all night to prepare it" I laughed
