A bright hot beating sun shines over Italy. The city streets are bustling, the wind is calm, and a giant 118.8 Meters tall Alpha Titan is laid curled up inside the ancient Colosseum like a giant angry cat. Godzilla is enjoying a nice well deserved rest after fighting a lot of battles recently, most notably against Skar King and Shimo. There is one other Alpha Titan that Godzilla can't seem to keep off of his mind as he laid dreaming about these recent events. Kong, his rival Alpha Titan. Kong has always been a thorn in the side of Godzilla in recent years and in history's past. Although, Godzilla doesn't think as negatively of Kong after fighting with him, instead of against him. Thinking on that thought, Godzilla gets a strange feeling in his chest that he doesn't understand. He has only ever really cared for Mothra, Queen of the Monsters, and their symbiotic relationship, the feeling is similar to that of Mothra but not quite the same, and it makes Godzilla uncomfortable, and thus, he awakened once more.
The people of Rome erupt into a panic as Godzilla awakens, he's been asleep in the Colosseum for couple months without any incident. Typically when Godzilla is on the move, it means he's hunting something. Monarch, an American and Japanese government coalition are immediately on high-alert because of this.
Inside the headquarters of Monarch, Dr. Mark Russel is in charge of monitoring Godzilla alongside Dr. Rick Stanton, so they are the first to know that Godzilla is moving again, and they need to figure out why. Their workstations have massive computers, with holographic screens. Mark is dealing with papers at his desk when an alarm sounds, signaling that Godzilla is once again on the move.
