Kaden called me the next day, pretty much out of nowhere to be honest with you; I had not expected to hear from him. But he asked me to join him at the beach after his shift. I had nothing else, so I thought I'd take that chance to have a chat with him. I took my bike and cycled through the sideroads. The village center on a sunday really did not call for me.

When I arrive at the beach I see Kaden standing by the door of the gameroom that was meant for the campers. I see him, then I see another figure. And I hear the situation is not calm at all the closer I get; a girl shouting.

"Just give me another chance Kaden!" Is the last thing I hear before the girl practically tackles me as she sprints out of the gameroom and pushes me against the wall and my bike. Damn! I just saw blonde hair and a vanilla scent as I gathered myself from the ground, I lost my footing at some point and realized I was sitting against the bike.
"Fucking hell." I grunt and get up as Kaden appears from the room. First I see terror in his eyes but then he smiles, gently. And you know what? He got these wrinkles around the outer corners of his eyes when he smiled and I found them absolutely adorable.

"How slow do you need me to be?" He asks and I just answer his stare. I could quite literally drown or get lost in those eyes.

"You what?" I wonder before he presses his lips on mine. What is happening?! "Kaden..." I whisper between the kisses.

"Yes?"

"We need to talk."

"No talking." He plain refuses. I mean, what can a girl do then? I just sunk into those kisses and it was okay to me right there and then.

The first time mum met Kaden was on the next friday evening as he came over to see if I could go hangout with him and his friends. Mum was the one opening the door, I had a day off from work 'cause I had an appointment with my doctor for my asthma and had been out all day. Mum walked to living room and leans at the door frame,

"I know now why you are so smitten." I feel my ears turning red and I lift my eyes to her.

"I'm sorry?" I remember how I tried to look mysterious but she waves her index finger at me.

"Don't even try. Be careful and be home by midnight."

"Huh?" I still have no idea until I hear Kaden's voice from the kitchen,

"Can I use the bathroom?" Mum calls out over her shoulder,

"Of course, at the left from the front door."

"Well shit." I whisper and mum just chuckles.

"You should try talking to me sometime. I was young once too, you know." She smirks at me as she sits down on the armchair.

"I'll keep that in mind. I'll be back before midnight." I agree and rush to my cupboard, needing something else to wear than the silly floral print summer dress but before I get to choose anything Kaden's voice carries from the door.
