HIRA

"Aliço, are you ready?"
"I just need to grab something." Aliço replies
"What is it?"
In his hand he holds a stone, a dad and a son painted on it.
"I painted it, for my father. Do you think he'll like it?"

Overwhelmed with emotions as she craves for a family she will never have, she brings him in for a tight hug, combing his hair with her fingers.

"Aliço, it's beautiful. He's going to love it."

...

Orhun approaches Aliço's bedroom, before entering, his eyes slowly close as he takes a deep breath.
His fists clenched tight, I don't want to do this...

Finding whatever courage he has, he sets aside his anger and proceeds to enter the room.
"Are we ready to go?" Orhun asks

Aliço quickly puts the stone in his pocket so he doesn't see.

"Yes. Aliço is very excited, let's go." Hira says
Guiding Ali out the door, Orhun follows.

...

"You have five minutes!" Orhun aggressively tells Tarık
"Would you mind giving us this time alone?" Tarık asks.
Hesitant, Hira responds, "we'll be on the other side of the door."
Grabbing his arm to guide him out of the room, Hira nods at Orhun, insisting that Aliço will be fine to have a moment alone with his father.

Orhun, not taking his glare off Tarık slowly pulls the door closed just enough to keep his eyes on Aliço.

"Look how happy he is." Hira joyfully says

Not amused by her words, he glances at his watch...
This is for his own good. When he's older, he will understand. Tarık will never see him again.

"You did the right thing, letting Aliço have this time with his father."
Checking his watch again, he takes a deep breath ignoring Hira.

Noticing how uncomfortable he is she reaches for his hand, "Orhun?"

"He's been in there long enough." He says, entity the room where Aliço and his father are.
"Maybe just a few more moments..." Hira says but it's too late.
Not wanting to object in front of Tarık.

"Come on Aliço, we have to leave now."

"Wait for me outside, I'll be there in a moment." Orhun tells Hira.

Responding with a nod her and Ali make their away out of the room.
Getting one more look at his father, Ali shoots him a smile as he's filled with joy finding out he has a sister.

Yağmur, is her name.
She really wants to meet you, Aliço.
The words from his father echos through him.

"How was your visit?" Hira asks.
"It was good. I have a sister. Her name is Yağmur. Look."
Handing Hira the photo in his hands, a big smile appears on her face.
"He said I could keep it."

"She's so beautiful, she looks a lot like you."

Admiring the photo, Orhun approaches them from behind.
"Let's go." He says
Snatching the photo from Hira's hand he quickly shoves it in his pocket before his Uncle could notice.
I don't want him to crumble my photo of my sister like he did of the photo I had of Hira.

"Everything okay?" Hira asks Orhun
"Yes."

....

Later that evening Hira tucks Aliço into bed. Admiring his gaze with a smile on his face as his mind wonders what it would be like to have a sister, a father.

She sits on the edge of his bed, running her fingers through his hair.
"Did you give him the stone you painted?" She asks.
"I did!" Ali says sitting up quickly out of excitement.
"He loved it!"
"I'm so happy for you Aliço."
"When can I see him again?"
"I'm not sure, I'll talk to your Uncle. For now, let's get some sleep. It's been an exciting day for you and you have school in the morning."
"Goodnight."
Kissing his forehead, still admiring his happiness.
"Goodnight, Aliço."
