Peach: In Taisho Era, in Japan lays a sickness that has spread like a plague: the demons.
Amy: Luckily we have a group of swordsman detected themselves into striking these demons down: the Demon Slayer Corps and some of the strongest higher ups, the Hashira.
Peach: The Hashira are some of the strongest members in the Corps though few have obtained this title, many have strived for it.
Amy: Unless your name Giyu Tomioka who never wanted that title to begin with. Well that's a huge L right there.
Peach: Giyu grew up with an older sister named Tsutako who was just a day away from marrying her fiancée.
Amy: And the demons celebrated their wedding the only way they knew how: By literally forcing big sister to die sacrificing herself to save her little bro, Giyu.
Peach: Giyu was never too attached about his life to begin with but after that he literally started to hate it. He tried to tell everyone about the attack on his sister but easily labeled insane and mentally ill and on his way to his relatives he almost died on a mountain not that seemed to bother him since he blamed himself for his own sister's death and wished he died instead of her.
Amy: Fortunately, well I guess unfortunately for suicidal nihilists like him, Giyu was rescued by a former Hashira Sakonji Urokodaki and trained him in the art of Demon Slayer combat.
Peach: Which turned out to be a good thing as he made friends with a fellow trainee, Sabito, due to their similarities in pasts and age.
Amy: Is what would've been the case if Sabito didn't get his ass killed too. Yeah bro can't catch a break, even as a Hashira he couldn't catch a break I mean bro did get called out by not having any friends.
Peach: Trauma and drama aside, as a high ranking Demon Slayer, Giyu has been trained to use Total Concentration Breathing which can enhance abilities to superhuamn levels.
Amy: It can increase stats making them stronger, faster, and tougher than any human, it can seal off wounds, and make quicker recovery.
Peach: But of course he wouldn't be a Demon Slayer with the Nichirin Sword forged and used to kill demons as well as use Breathing Styles.
Amy: Honestly Peach HTF does that even work?
Peach: Well it's critical to real life martial arts, but other than that I'm confused.
Amy: Yeah a power system that only has effects to make it look cool, is not really a power system at all.
