I was sitting on the bench in the park. I saw him approaching and I cuddled Daxie even more than I already was. I was so scared. This moment was where I would find out if I still had the love of my life by my side or if I had lost him completely. We sat in silence for what felt like ages until I asked him.
"What's your choice then...?" I asked. My heart was literally pounding.
"You. It's always been you. I broke up with Maria this morning" he said. I looked at him and blushed instantly. I still had my boy. "I couldn't imagine spending the rest of my life without you" he said.
He pulled my face closer to his and connected our lips. Thank god I still had him. We slowly pulled from the kiss and he gave me a box. I opened it and it had a print out of the Taylor Swift lyrics 'I want to wear his initial on a chain round my neck, chain round my neck. Not because he owns me, but cause he really knows me' and then I saw 2 necklaces underneath. One with Lando's LN logo carved into it and one with an L on it. He put the necklaces on my neck and I looked down at them. I loved them so much. Then Lando started talking.
"A year ago today, I sat in that meet and greet room, waiting for you. I was nervous, excited, and scared all at the same time to meet all the fans. But the moment I saw you, everything changed. Your smile lit up the room, and I knew I was in trouble if I started to date a fan but I did it anyways. Since then, we've shared countless moments of joy, tears, laughter, and love. You've been my rock, my light, and my salvation. And now, as we celebrate our first year together, I want to ask you something" he said. He pulled out a small box from his pocket and got down on one knee. "Lena... will you marry me?" He said. Our one year. People would say that getting engaged this early in a relationship is just bad luck. Even I used to say that but I knew Lando was my soulmate. We got through so much together and we were going to get through so much more together. Who was I kidding? Of course I was gonna say yes.
"Yes!!!" I basically shouted. I could see his face immediately light up as I said yes. He stood up and put the ring on my finger. It was completely covered in diamonds. I pressed my lips directly on his and we just stayed there for ages. I was actually engaged to my best friend, my one true love, my soulmate, meine liebe.
