AYUMU LOVED SLEEPING. how can he not? whenever he sleeps, he feels as if everything disappears. as if there are no problems to face, or there are no fans to entertain. being dubbed as the 'filler member' of one of the best idol groups in the entire ensemble square, it was hard not to feel slumped. it was a horrible feeling.
sleep was the escape of that feeling.
he felt at peace whenever he slept. but recently, there are some things invading his precious sleep. maybe he had watched too many science fiction movies, or had read too many universe theories; too many to the point where he even dreamed of it.
in his dreams, there are children, all wore the same collar. they looked. . .unique. they act unique, too. is this the future? had he spent too much time with natsume to the point where he can foresee the future as well.
if this is what the future looks like, it looks terrifying.
oh, how ayumu wishes to no longer have these kinds of dreams. he hates how he can see everything, but can't do anything. he sees them singing out their woes, but can't do anything to answer their calls.
there are times where he would wake up crying - like right now - due to the heaviness of his dreams.
"my, ayumu, that was one nightmare you had." ayumu blinked away his sleepiness (tears) and looked at the person who woke him up from his slumber.
"ah, ibara-san. i happen to have fallen asleep here again, my apologies." ayumu absolutely did not mean that apology.
"only say it when you mean it." ibara saw through his lies, but did neither of them cared? no.
"you'll be the first one to receive it." was all that ayumu added before standing up to give his body a stretch.
his back hurts from the unpleasant position he fell asleep in. not to mention that the couch is not really the best. so much for being a respectable company. ayumu will make sure to leave a review on the website for it.
"though i appreciate that you are taking care of yourself, i would also appreciate it if you don't fall asleep here of all places. especially if you already had your hair and make up done." ibara said to the the half asleep boy before exiting the room, leaving ayumu to his own thoughts.
thoughts and theories about the dreams that seemed to hunt him every time he falls asleep. why was he dreaming of such a thing? should he ask natsume about it? but then again, fortune telling is different from dream analysis.
maybe he should try talking to the lazy knight: sakuma ritsu. if there's another person who loved sleeping like him, it's him. maybe he'll know a thing or two about dreams?
can they even be called a dream? if they always leave unpleasant feelings? isn't that what nightmares are supposed to make you feel? what even is the criteria for a dream to be considered a dream?
"ayumu! you're up next; in fifteen!" ayumu heard a knock accompany the call. the idol sighed, looking at the big mirror, trying to smooth out his hair that he messed up in his nap.
"alright, i'll be there." ayumu sighed. another black ocean is awaiting his stage tonight.
ayumu grabbed his beloved mic, before heading out of the room. on his way to face yet another ocean of shadow.
