They hated each other. This wasn't supposed to happen but happened anyway. He was her best friend's brother , he was off limits. For him she was forbidden and we know we always want something they can't have.

Scarlett said shouting at her brother and started crying. I took her out of the room and started consoling her. She is my best friends, and currently she was fighting with her brother, Jacob. Recently, they have been fighting since he found her drinking and kissing some random guy at the bar.
Bruno jumped on her, she hugged him tightly. Perhaps that was his own way of comforting her. I love the dog, the golden retriever is super friendly and does not bite.

"You should not fight with him, he is your brother after all." I said to Scarlett.
"What about the times you two fight ?" Scarlett said, getting annoyed.
"I know he's being stupid but he cares about you !" I said truthfully, he really cares about her.
"Why are you even crying for Brad, he is not worth your tears. You need to realize your worth and get over him. You deserve better than to be crying over a Brad. I never liked him in the first place yet for your happiness I approved him. " I tried to say it in a soft tone but it came out harsher than I thought
She kept stroking her hands through Bruno's golden fur.
I think I shouldn't have said all of those things to her, she is already sad for that baby face Brad and I'm making it worse.
I wanted to lighten her mood up so I came up with a plan. "You know what, fuck him. Let's go out tonight." I said.
She looked at me surprised, "Do you really wanna do it?" she asked.
"Do you wanna go or not?" I responded.
"Don't be a bitch, I'm coming with you" she said, already on her way to freshen up.
I went to Jacob, "What the fuck is your problem? Can you stop being an asshole and treat her a little better? She's your sister for God's sake!"
He looked at me like he could kill me. "I'm her brother and I cannot see her like this. I know she had a break up and the only thing that matters to me is her safety, she can't go on kissing strangers like that." he said.
"So you really do care by the way you two were fighting," I said sarcastically, "I thought I was going to witness a murder."
Jacob started to walk in my direction. I started backing up.
He kept coming closer. I hit my back against the wall.
He came close to my face and said, "Who gave you the permission to talk to me like that?"
My heartbeat quickened as he said the next words, "I'm warning you, Ashley. You should really change the way you talk to me because it's only going to get you in trouble."
Jacob walked away leaving me surprised. The surprise turned into frustration as I realized what happened. I wanted to snap back at him. I calmed myself and deciding not to waste my time on him, went to get ready.
