MEGUMI

"Yiiee girl here's a receipt slash reservation at Hill Station, *lip smack* pinapabigay ni Brianne" Abbie approached me after I exit the Manager's office

"If I don't know na mag-bestfriend kayo, iisipin ko na manliligaw mo siya ayyyiee" she jokes

A slight laugh slip out of my lips "He has a girlfriend"

"We know, just saying you two look good together! Wala ba kayong nafefeel na romantic chemistry? Nada?" Here she go again with all her slang and sassy accent, ohh for God knows kung gaano nila ako kinukulit tungkol kay Bri

But as his best friend, I have already anticipated this and I'm always ready with a reply.

"Ew nooo haha, kababata ko lang kasi" I fake a laugh, to show that the idea of 'us' is ridiculous

I hide my suspicions, it's quite odd na bigla siyang umuwi kagabi and when I rejected to have lunch with him, he decided to treat me and my classmates instead. Even though I know he might be trying to make up with his lacking 'cause he's guilty over something, I don't think he'll spend this much para lang i-appease ako? Hill Station cost almost a thousand each dish and he paid for 5 people

Or, is he trying to communicate something and need niya ng makakausap? Did they break up already? Not that I'm surprised, malamang nagsawa na siya sa pagiging possessive at manipulative ng gf niya.

*Sigh* poor Bri

I'm too sleepy last night that I wasn't in the right mind to accompany him kahit na napansin kong pinapahaba pa niya yung usapan at pinipigilan akong pumasok ng kwarto.

Hmmm babawi nalang ako mamayang gabi sa kanya. I'll buy good food and maybe break out some drinks later to help with his heartbreak

Speaking of which, I ordered a dinner set from the same restaurant and pick it up on my way home afterwork. I'm too tired today to prepare dinner, since masarap naman mga putahe nila dun kaya might as well just buy the food there.

After parking my car in the garage, I found everyone's rides inside. Mukhang nakauwi na silang lahat.

I carry the drinks with me pagpasok ng bahay at iuutos ko nalang sa kanila na kunin yung mga pagkain.

"Tadaima" I announced my arrival but look at that! I found them all in the kitchen devouring pizza.

"Ugh nalipasan ba kayo ng gutom?" Nilapag ko na sa hapag yung bibit ko

"Oy lemonade! Sakto panulak" akmang aabutin na ni Ian yung drinks pero pinalo ko yung kamay niya

"I ordered a PROPER dinner, somebody get it from the car" sabi ko "on second thought, ako nalang pala kukuha, Brianne samahan mo ko"

Welp, its a good excuse para makapag-usap na kaming dalawa lang. Besides, I know he doesn't want to expose his troubles to the whole gang.

At the garage,

"Bri, you don't have to hide your pain from me" prompting him to open up

"Huh?" But he just look at me with confusion

"I've been there, so I would understand" thinking, he might be uncomfortable unfolding his break up story

"Nah I don't think so" umiling siya sabay ngiti ng nakakaloko

My forehead crunched before blinking in confusion, what's with that smile? Mukha naman siyang hindi broken, don't tell me he's the reason why they broke up?

I guessed bad habits don't die.

"Tell me then" I said sternly

"You wouldn't understand" again with his mischievous smile
