'That's not my neighbor' Sun would always hear. He never thought about it until July 16 when a lookalike attacked his brother Moon. Sun came home to a half dead moon that day.
Sun shook his head as he walked into his booth, it was his first day working front desk at his apartment complex, the building had 6 stories with 4 rooms in each, he looks at the checklist and the list of people coming in, he sighed as he waited for the first person; it was Monty- a old friend of Moon. Sun smiled and he looked at Monty's id and request. Sun knew Monty well, he could tell that the fella was nervous
“Monty, is something wrong?”
Monty chuckled nervously before answering
“Uh my date was a lookalike- but uh - she's vegan? So uhm- I dunno”
Sun blinked and sighed
“I'll let ya in, you can tell me more after work buddy”
Monty smiled and took his papers before walking into the apartment complex. Sun leaned back and then a tall man walked in, Sun saw the double arms and grabbed his folders immediately, talking to the lookalike
“So what's with the double arms- Eclipse.”
The tall lookalike chuckled at Sun before replying with a dangerous look
“I'm on the list. I'm the protector of the city so don't fret little light.”
Sun saw Eclipse on the list and looked at the folder, yep Eclipse was on the folder and he was definitely a lookalike in the picture, sun gulped
“Look I'm just going to double check with my boss Mister Eclipse”
Eclipse sighed and leaned on the wall as Sun called the DDD in his area, the boss answered with a tired tone
“....yep ….. Eclipse is legally allowed in the building…..as per his agreement….”
Sun nodded to mainly himself and said to the tired man
“Alrighty, thanks boss”
Sun lets the man hang up and smiled weakly at Eclipse and lets Eclipse in
“Have a good day!”
Eclipse chuckled at Sun, he was going to have fun with this little ray of light. He walked in the building and immediately strolls into Sun's office, sitting behind him quietly
Sun performed his job without noticing Eclipse. He noticed that the lookalikes seemed more scared the longer Sun had questioned them, but Sun just thought it was because he found them out and most fled before Sun could get a word in.
Sun stood up and turned around to leave the office, he froze when he saw Eclipse sitting there, the tall creature gave him a wide smile, chuckling
“Your face is priceless little ray! Haha”
Sun stumbled on his words
“I uh- what- uhm- what are you- uh doing back here Eclipse?-”
The tall being giggled before saying
“Well one of my duties is to protect little humans like you, and what's the best way than to be right next to the front desk? Hmm? Plus it is fun to spook ya! Hah!”
Sun gave a grumpy face, he was starting to get an idea of what Eclipse is like, he sighed softly,
“Alright alright- well I have to get back to my apartment, I guess you'll be here tomorrow?”
Eclipse smirked
“If I can. I will”
Sun shook his head and walked out of the office to his room, he walked into the apartment room, and tended to his recovering brother. Moon laid in bed, almost lifeless- almost- Sun had hope. He had paid countless amounts of money to get Moon an artificial heart and steel bones. Sun fed Moon and gave him water with the tube. Sun then made himself some noodles and ate them, he yawned and walked over to bed, passing out.
Sun was tired…..it's been weeks since he got the job, he got his paycheck and sighed, maybe in a year he can get Moon that prosthetic arm….. maybe…..Sun was uncertain. Sun was coming into work and saw Eclipse sitting with another lookalike, Bloodmoon, who was laughing at a joke. Sun sighed and sat down
“Hello pretty boy!”
“What are you planning today after work?~”
Sun rolled his eyes and checked the list and folders,
“Taking care of my chores”
Bloodmoon blew his breath and wrapped his arm around sun
“What are those chores then?”
“Boring chores”
“We could help”
“Yes”
Sun chuckled softly and shook his head
“No no, the chores are a me thing only”
Bloodmoon was slightly confused
“What about your brother?”
“Don't he help with chores?”
“Is he lazy?”
Sun shoved Bloodmoon off
“No no no, Moon is just sick! He'll get better soon.”
