"Nezuko, can you pick vegetables from the mountain? If you see blue spider lilies make sure to bring them! They are really good for making soup!" Nezukos mom said "Okay mom!" She walked to the top and looked for them. She admired the beauty of the place, the trees, the snow and the animals."Oh there they are!" She picked up the vegetables her mom needed. She saw the blue spider lilies and put them in her basket. She placed them organized in the basket. While walking down she saw a boy with black to blue hair. She said "Excuse me, but what are you doing?"
*Muichiro pov
"I'm training." I said. When I said that, I haven't took a good look at her, but when I did, I realized how pretty she was. I blushed and said "you should head back."with my face covered. I looked at her again, and in my mind I thought "she looks like a pink dove, her voice is so calm and relaxed and soft, like a dove.
*Nezuko pov
I nodded and started walking down the mountain. I said to him "Bye! See you later!" I smiled at him and made my way down. I realized that it got dark. When I arrived, i said to my mom "Mom I'm back!" She said "Nezuko hand the vegetables over please!" I handed the vegetables to mom. Mom started making dinner. While she was doing that, I went outside with tanjiro. He said "Nezuko, remember when grandma told us stories about what so called demons?" I said "yeah, do you believe in them?" He said "I don't know... now that I think about it I'm starting to think that's all make believe " I said "yeah me too" I looked at mom and said "mom is making dinner and she is making blue spider lily soup." I said "oh dinners ready!" We all went to sit down and started eating. Hanako and Shigeru started fighting of who gets more food. After eating, we all went to sleep.
In the middle of my sleep, I heard a
THUD.
"MOM!" I yelled "NEZUKO RUN ITS NOT SAFE HER-"as i turned around i saw a man who had red eyes. I saw mom being cut in half screaming very loud, holding Rokuta. Tanjiro was still alive, but on the brink of death. After that all I could see was red, and felt burning pain in my stomach and my leg. I felt something liquid like enter my wounds. When I woke up, i saw my family getting slaughtered right in front of me, I then burst into tears. "Mom..tanjiro..Rokuta...Hanako...Shigeru..Takeo..." I looked at my leg and it is chopped off. I look at tanjiro, hes still alive. I drag myself towards him and said "hang on tanjiro!" He said "Nezuko. You know im about to die, but you still try to save me? That is why im lucky to have you as my sister. " i said crying "I'm even more lucky to have you as my brother, tanjiro!" He said "Nezuko, my arm has been severed and I'm having trouble breathing.. it hurts.." I say "ILL GET A DOCTOR!! STAY WITH ME!!" He says "it's too late, Nezuko I'm about to die.. I failed as the role of the elder brother right? My job was to protect you." I finnaly managed to drag myself to him, grabbed his hand and said "you did a great job, tanjiro. As the elder sister, I also had to protect us."
He said "Nezuko! Please don't leave me! I DONT WANT TO DIE! NEZU-" my eyes widened and he said "ko, I'm sor-" it was at that moment I realized he was dead. I screamed in sadness and yelled "NOO!! DONT TAKE THEM AWAY FROM ME!!" MY voice weakened. I realized my leg was back, I was soo confused I couldn't tell if this was a nightmare or reality.
I started drooling, some instincts came in saying "It was their fault your brother died. They are fools." "Eat them to get stronger" I growled at it. I started having a painfull headache, I yelled "GET OUT OF MY- GRRR ILL EAT THEM!!" I was about to lunge myself and sink my teeth into them, but resisted the urge. I knew something was up. I scanned the area with my eyes and saw blood scattered all over the house. I started crying again but this time it wasn't normal crying,it was a mental Breakdown.
I waited in my home for about 40 minutes. When help came I saw a boy with black to blue hair, mint colored eyes... oh its the boy from earlier! just as I was going to ask him for help he put that katana near my neck. I knew that he was going to behead me. But I stood up and said "I didn't do this! Something came in and wiped my family with a single blow!" He responded "tell all your lies demon. I know you killed these poor innocent people." I was confused. "Demon?" I asked. His eyes widened and he asked " y-your that girl from earlier!!why haven't you eaten those people if you killed them?" I responded "I.. don't really know.. I felt something telling me to eat it but I didn't, because I know that these people where my relatives." He said "well I'll spare your life, demon" he told me to follow him. He explained what he meant that I am a demon. I learned that there is a company called demon slayer. It kills "demons". He says that sometimes demons have demon blood arts, which is a kind of power we have. He explains that demons can regenerate, which explains why the wounds I had where gone. He told me that demons can be killed by nichirin swords and the sun. He said "my name is muichiro tokito the pillar of the mist." I told him "I am nezuko kamado" he said "you should train so you can become a demon slayer. the next final selection will be year, which will be to put your skills to the test."

So he placed a bamboo muzzle on my mouth and said "this will prevent you from eating people.
I took my bamboo off and kissed him in the cheek and thanked him even though I couldn't talk anymore.
*muichiro pov
When nezuko kissed me, I felt butterflies in my stomach. I didn't know what this meant, but I ignored it. For now. Nezuko said "Im so sorry!" I felt my face red and covered it with my hands. "I-uh It's just my job."
While walking to my estate, she took out her bamboo and sang," Hush, hush... Baby rabbit on the hillside... Why are your eyes so red? When I was small... mother ate the fruit of the red tree... and that's why my eyes are red."
I couldn't take my eyes off her, she looks so beautiful and she sings so beautiful. It's like an angel was singing to me softly.i asked "what is the songs name?" She responded "I don't know. My mom sang it too me when I was little.." she said sadly. A tear slipped and as soon as she saw me looking at her, she wiped it away.
Nezuko said, "s-sorry.." I said "it's okay. I think I know how it feels."
*Nezuko pov
I had a memory of tanjiro and his last moments. How mom got cut in half, how I held rokuta and he got killed infront of me. I remember the rage, hunger, sadness at the time. The man who killed them, will die by my hands.
That is a secret I will fulfill. Not until I die. I sang the lullaby again, "Hush, hush... Baby rabbit on the hillside... Why are your eyes so red? When I was small... mother ate the fruit of the red tree... and that's why my eyes are red." Muichiro looks at me, full with amazement and curiosity. He says "I never heard anyone sing that good In a long time..i-i think I won't forget this." I smiled at him one last time and put my bamboo on.
