~Tommy's POV~

I parked my car next to a Jeep in the employee parking lot. Today was my first day at LAX airport. I've flown LAFD before but now this was my first job at an airport. It was international traveling too so I was excited to see where life would take me.

After checking in I walked into the office room Captain Nash said we would meet. Helping him set up the chairs I stood in front of the room with him. Few people came in and I smiled at all of them. I was excited to see where this new job would take me.

I made a plane joke at Bobby and he laughed making me smile. It was a stupid dad joke but he seemed to like it enough as he laughed at what I said.

Bobby turned around facing the room of people. As I looked around the room I saw everyone look between both of us. We both were in pilot outfits so had feeling everyone knew what was about to happen.

"So everyone.. I have news."
Bobby said as I smiled letting him talk to his co workers.
"Everyone this is Tommy Kinard."
Bobby said as he pointed at me and I looked around the room as I spoke.
"Hi everyone."
My eyes glanced to a guy drinking coffee as he was in the front row and I noticed he had what looked like a birthmark on his left eyebrow. I looked back around the room to not stare.
"This year I'm officially retiring. So I've hired Tommy here as the new pilot for our crew. He was in the army and has been flying since ...?"
"Since I turned fourteen when I could start getting my flight license."
"Yes right."
I said truthfully I would've flown sooner if LA allowed it.
"So everyone please introduce yourself so we can show Tommy we are like one big family here. Then you guys can get to your first planes for today. I will be flying today but only as co captain since Tommy will be the captain today."

Everyone went around the room and then when it was the birth mark turn I listened closely. I saw him look right at me and small smiled before he talked.
"H-hi I'm Evan.. but everyone calls me Buck. Umm I like watching action movies and flying around the world."
Evan sat back down right and I said to him.
"Nice to meet you Evan."
"Okay Tommy your turn."
"Oh right."
I chuckled and looked around the room as I talked again.
"Hi I'm Tommy Kinard, I love monster trucks, craft beer and my favorite movie is Love Actually."

After the introductions we all said our goodbyes and went to the planes we were scheduled for. When I got inside the plane I sat and looked at all the buttons. I couldn't believe it today was a real moment. I took a selfie and posted it on Instagram with caption 'flights not feelings.' Putting phone away I smiled and heard door open. Bobby sat by me and smiled.
"Excited kid?"
I nodded and looked at him.
"Yeah I love flying so thanks again for this opportunity I won't let you down."
"I know you won't. I've read over your resume and you sounded like the best person for the job."

As I heard the flight attendants go over the emergency directions I walked out being Bobby said he'll start us to fly but can I get him a water. Since the flight attendants were busy I nodded and left. I went to grab it but got distracted seeing Evan. He was a handsome man even from behind as he went over the directions. When he turned back putting the booklet back I smiled at him. He smiled back and I took the water from the cart and went back inside and put the water in Bobby's cup holder.
"Thanks. Ready to go?"
"Yep born ready."
I put on my headset and took the steering wheel and with that we took off the runway and now were in the sky off to New York.

(So yay got everyone's POV.. I might keep doing that but it will be mostly Buck's POV for this fic. Even if I do love the mix pov so we will see. Hope you have a good day/night. Thanks for reading! But yeah where should the boys go???)
