It was him. It was really him. And he saved me.
"Sh shh shhh," I hadn't realized until now that he had at some point pulled me into his chest and rapped his arms around me. Rocking me back and fourth. And I also hadn't realized till now that I was still crying.
My vision was fading in and out of blackness every second, and I felt like I was spinning. What was happened to me?
I could hear Chase's voice, but couldn't comprehend what he was saying, I tried to focus as hard as I could. Trying to conjur up some sort audibility to his voice.
And for a moment, I could hear him crystal clear, "Remmington, You gotta listen to me, you need to calm down...you are having a panic attack, if you don't calm down now you'll go into shock, shhh...." He hummed, "it's going to be okay," he reassured, "no one will hurt you now."
I tried to steady my quivering breaths and decided to keep my eyes shut. I fell asleep.

When I opened my eyes, all I could see was a faint light to my left, down a hallway. And out of that light came a silhouette that I assumed was Chase after a few seconds of pondering.
"You're awake, thank god, I was getting worried that you went into shock and slipped into a coma or something," he sighed in relief, walking towards where I was lying down on some sort of couch.
I tried to sit up but my head pounded me down. Dizziness swormed me once again and an ache suffocated my head. I rested my head back down.
"Here, take this," chase crouched down next the the couch and offered me something I couldn't see, "it'll kill that headache."
My hand subconsciously shook as it maneuvered towards the offering, my fingers found it and took it, it was a small dark red circular pill.
I rested it in the middle of my tongue, then looked around, realizing I didn't have anything to swallow it with. And as if Chase had read my mind, he handed me a cup of water with a straw in it.
I took a sip from the straw and used it to swallow the pill, and that's when I realized how dry my mouth had been. The cold liquid felt as if it had illuminated my dry cracked mouth. I sat aside the straw and took three long gulps of the water. I could feel it running down my throat and into my stomach.
Water had never tasted so good.
"Do you need more water?" Chase had been watching me.
I shook my head no.
"How..how a..long was I asleep.." My voice sounded weak.
"Only about a 20 minutes," Chase replied.
I couldn't see his face, only an outline of him. And as much as the light tried, it couldn't captivate his beauty as much as these shadows could at that moment. A line of light layed across his jaw, highlighted the definite angle. There was a bit more light on the left side of his face, showing off his cheekbones and the side of his nose. Along with a small, barely visible sparkle in his now emotional eye. I could see that his hair had been even more messy than usual, and he was now running his fingers through it, but not like he had the first time I saw him in class. This time it looked like he was doing it out of stress and worry.
"It's 7:25," Chase informed me.
I tried to sit up, "I uh..I need to get home..uhh.."
"I'll drive you home," Chase had placed his hand on my forearm, messaging that I shouldnt try to get up myself.
"Alright," I trusted him. I'm not sure why, maybe because he had just saved my life, or maybe just because there was something about him now, and I could feel it in my gut, something about this boy was different. And this had to happen for me to see it unfortunately.
