Friendship.
Beginnings.
Belonging?
High school...
Jules
Belonging is a funny word to think about. It's hard to figure out where you stand amongst a group of people. Nonetheless, trying to figure out their perspective of you and your relationship. This wasn't a problem for me up until I started high school.
Anyway, I met Michael Reed when I was 14. We were in the ninth grade and sat beside each other in Mrs. Montrose's second-period English class. He asked me for a pencil, so of course I quickly gave him one, and ever since then we've been the best of friends. God, was he beautiful, though. He had brown curly hair and the richest brown eyes. His smile lit up a room, and his laugh, oh, his laugh, was my vain of existence. Michael was my everything. It was just the inevitable.
Micheal and I became best friends quite fast. It's crazy how two people can become friends in such a short amount of time. It felt as if I'd known him my whole life. We told each other everything from our dreams, fucked up family dynamics to even our deepest insecurities. It felt like we were made for each other.
Michael
Bro, there is no way this class has arranged seating. What the fuck. Who is that I have to sit beside? This fucking sucks.
"Shit. Yo, you uh got a pencil? I left mine in my first-period class."
"Yeah, here."
"Thanks, man, I appreciate it. What's your name?"
"Jules."
"Nice to meet you, Jules. I'm Michael."
Jules isn't like the other girls.
She's just different.
She is not as pretty as them, heck, no where near as pretty as them. She's nice, too nice that it's kinda weird. She doesn't have a good body, barely wears any makeup, and she's kinda awkward. The only thing going for her is her personality and the fact that she smells really good, like really good. God, I can't believe I have to sit beside her. This is going to be a long semester.
Jules and I started to talk a little more in class. She has this annoying laugh that drives me crazy. She's not that bad once you get to know her. To be honest, she's actually quite popular. We've become friends, I guess?
To be continued...
