"Enzou! Wake up! It's training time!"

"Mhhmm.. mmmhhff"

"I said.. wake.. UP!"

A huge pillow hit my face that suddenly jolted me awake.

"Ow!!" I cried, looking at the culprit who did it, my older brother.

"It's your fault why we're always scolded in training coz you always wake up late!" My brother exclaimed early in the morning while getting ready for training.

"If you wanna be first, then just leave me alone!" I shouted back, as I watched his back leave the room.

"You two, stop fighting. And Enzou, please get up from bed." Grandma Lai pleaded as she went in the room and picked up the pillow that Kendrik threw at my face.

I sat up from bed, wide awake from all that ruckus and sighed.

"Kendrik is always so mean Grandma." I complained, frowning.

"That's because he cares about you. He wants you to be strong just like him." Grandma Lai patiently answered.

"But.. I don't even know what we're training for." I replied.

"Then, you'll have to train to find out." Grandma Lai said as she helped me up.

"Ughh" I replied in surrender.

My seven-year-old self wandered at the dark palace halls after training as I was looking for a good spot to play with my marbles.

I heard faint voices talking near the meeting room. Curiosity getting the best of me, I went nearer and saw that the door where the voices were coming from, was slightly ajar and listened in.

"What are you gonna do now that we have all the Sophronas?" This was General Yang's voice for sure.

"We don't have all of them. The youngest, a baby, is probably still out there." My father answered, frustation evident in his voice.

"Relax. Four out of five is already a win." Answered a raspy, old voice.. that is, my grandfather, the Emperor.

"How are the experiments going?" He asked.

An unfamiliar voice of a woman answered, "Eighty Percent success rate, your highness. It will probably be completed on the full moon." She spoke with clarity and confidence.

"Very well." Answered the Emperor.

"What about the baby?" Asked my father, worry evident in his voice.

"Leave her be. By the time she grows up, we've already conquered Andalusia." The Emperor answered, as a matter of factly.

A chair suddenly screeched loudly.

"This meeting shall be concluded." He said.

As soon as I had heard the screeching of a number of  chairs, I ran to my room as fast I could, heart pumping so loud in my chest, I can barely hear myself panting. I couldn't believe what I just heard, nor understand any of it.
