The night is so quiet as Erica and Dawson look at the window of their bedroom window on the second floor. Dawson's standing behind her, having her close to his chest and tightly wraps his arms around her. His head hovers over hers and smiles so wide as they continue to look out the window and stare into the night sky. "It's quiet," he says softly, leaning close to her forehead and kissing her gently.

"Yes, it is," Erica says as she looks up at Dawson's green eyes as he looks into her blue ones. She returns a smile and kisses on the lips for a quick second. They are enjoying their little moment, considering that they haven't seen each other for a few months. Not with Dawson just wrote his new book and he had to go on tour to get it promotion for sales. Not to mention, they needed the money because of their financial problems they are currently in.

This book could make a difference for the two of them. "A make it or break it," ordeal if you will. Regardless, being on the computer almost half the time could also have its toll on even the most famous writers, even Dawson knows that as he yawns and stretches out his arms. "Sorry," he says. He rubs his neck slowly and moves his head around. Again, he yawns as Erica looks at him with worry and sees him moving to the bed. He slowly sat at the edge of the bed and Erica joined him by his side.

"Don't be," she states, and starts to rub his back. "You're tired, considering you've been on tour for months."

"I know," Dawson says, looking at Erica with a tired-look on his face. He then placed his head on her chest, rubbing his head against her chest. "I've been away for so long."

"Hey, babe, I know this is important to you and your career," she states as Dawson looks up at her, while playing with a piece of her long and dark hair. It made her giggle as she grabs his hand that he's using and holds up gently. Then slowly and gently she kisses it with her lips. She's worried about him, considering that she notices him being overworked. "Don't worry, babe, it'll be worth it at the end."

"I hope so," he says. Out of nowhere, an idea struck through his mind. "Hey, babe, when's the last time we had a vacation?" Erica looks down at him both with a smile and a confusing look written in her face.

"Like in years?" She asked as Dawson nodded. She sighed and looked up like she was searching through her mind for that specific memory of their last trip together. Then she looks back at him. "Like, a couple of years?"

They both snickered out of the blue followed by Dawson's small chuckle. "We are long overdue," he says.

"We are," Erica agrees, moving his hand to his lap and patting it softly.

"Maybe, we should go up the Avalon Mountains?" Dawson asked. Erica looks at him with a smile. It is their favorite vacation spot. It was where they first met and fell in love with each other.

"That would be nice, we hadn't been there in a while," Erica states warmly. "Would be nice to go back to our old roots again."

"Yeah, not to mention, to see our old spot," Dawson says, smiling at her even though he has that tired look in his eyes. Erica returns that smile.

"The one in the maple tree, right by the lake."

"Yeah. That one."

Slowly they leaned into each other and gave each other a big kiss on the lips. A long one at that too. They later parted and smiled at each other. "I'll check for cheap hotels around the area and we'll make an agreement on the dates," Erica says.

"So, is that a, yes?" Dawson asks, as he lifts his head up. It was as if he had a sudden and new amount of energy.

"Yeah, yeah, that's a yes."
