Y/n swam as fast as she could, out swimming the guards assigned to protect her. She burst through the castle doors to her mother being attacked by sirens "MOTHER" you yelled racing towards her, then sending a giant wave of water towards the sirens with sent them flying. "Mother the city needs more help, I can help mother, I'm top of my classes in fighting, swimming, weapons combat, and I'm good at controlling my powers. Please just let me help you fight for once mother" you plead as your mother gets up "no y/n we talked about this your a princess you don't fight."
She said then grabbed you and swan to the emergency pods area "your not safe here, I'm sending you away to the surface to live there for a bit then when it's safe I'll send guards to get you". You look at her in disbelief and sadness but this is quickly replaced by anger "so your just going to send me off, AWAY JUST LIKE THAT. THE CITY HAS BEEN UNDER ATTACK BEFORE AND YOU'VE NEVER DONE THIS BUT NOW YOUR DOING THIS!?" you scream. All of a sudden your mother pushes you into one of the escape pods and closes it up and presses the lunge button, she stares at you coldly then swims away like I was a threat to the kingdom, then you black out.
The emergency alarm goes off and the recruits run to the room (idk what the room is called). "Recruits there has been a report of someone stuck in a pod under water for a unknown amount of time, you'll keen to get them out of that pod and check to see if their okay" heatwave explained.
"yes professor heatwave" the recruits said in unison then jumped into the pipes and raced off to the water.
(Time skip because I'm lazy)
"Alright hoist, we've attached the winch to the pod you can lift it up now" medic said "okay" hoist said then started to lift it up, they opened the hatch to see what was inside but then they saw you, a mermaid "woah" hotshot and whirl said at the same time "that isn't a human, that's a mermaid!?" Medic said. "Um professor heatwave you need to come check this out, and quickly" wedge said "on my way" heatwave said.
Ever since then you lived with the rescue bots and even became a recruit for the recruits rescue team. To you their your real family, they let you be yourself unlike your actual family.
