♡Two Years Ago♡
The sun was on the horizon, yet there was no reason to smile. Flower Hashira Kanae Kocho was desperately searching for her lost sister Shinobu Kocho. They had gone on a mission together and had decided to separate to locate the demon faster. They had planned to meet back up at the same location, but when Shinobu didn't return, Kanae became concerned.
Kanae: (Concerned) Shinobu? Shinobu! Shinobu, where are you? What if she found the demon? I have to find her and help her out.
Worried for her sister's safety, Kanae continued running through the place calling for Shinobu. It was in the middle of a street where she finally found her, but it would not be happy reuniting. That was because lying there on the ground before her was Shinobu suffering from a fatal injury.
Kanae: (Scared) Oh no! Shinobu! *Runs to Shinobu and holds her in her arms* Oh no! No, no, no, no, no! Shinobu, wake up. Wake up, Shinobu. You can't afford to go to sleep now.
Shinobu: (Weak) Ugh...N-N-Nee~San, is that...you?
Kanae: Yes, it is me, Shinobu. How did this happen? Oh, please hang in there a little longer.
Shinobu: Douma. *Looks around* Where's...Douma?
Kanae: Who? Is...that...the demon?
Shinobu: Yes...Douma. Oh...it's too late. I'm sorry...
Kanae: No, it's not too late. Don't apologize! It's not your fault. *Tears show up*
Shinobu: Nee~San...I'm sorry...
Kanae: No! No, pull yourself together. You're going to make it. I promise you.
Shinobu: *Frowns* K-Kanae...
Kanae: *Sniffs* Y-Yes, Shinobu?
Shinobu: *Smiles* I...love...you... *Tries to hug her*
Kanae: *Hugs Shinobu* I love you too, Shinobu...
Kanae held Shinobu as tightly as she could, but nothing could save the purple butterfly. Soon enough, Kanae lost Shinobu's pulse and her body grew cold. When Kanae felt this happen, she wept with all the strength she had.
