BEING the eldest sibling comes with perks sometimes, but Georgia's struggling to see them right now. She's been given the pleasure of driving her brothers all the way across the city the day before leaving for college. The reason? Neither of them bothered to prepare properly. She really doesn't understand how they could go all summer without so much as a single thought for their freshman year. Georgia remembers panic-buying double of everything she needed in the months leading up to her own first year— much to the dismay of her parents.
Her eyes leave the road ahead for a split second, glancing to look back at her brother in the rear-view mirror. He sits with his head resting against the window, phone in hand as he casually scrolls. Seeing him look so relaxed and carefree makes her want to reach back and slap him, "Luca, literally what have you been doing all summer?"
At the sound of his sister's voice he raises his head, shrugging his shoulders slightly. "Dude, it's summer. Last summer before college— gotta enjoy it before it's time to lock in."
Gerogia rolls her eyes so hard she fears they may fall out of her head. Of course his excuse was pitiful. "Whatever. Just make sure you have your shit figured out next year because I'm not gonna do this again."
A snicker sounds from beside her, Adam turning in his seat with a smug grin on his face. "Yeah, Luca, make sure you figure your shit out."
Clearly unimpressed, the elder of the two reaches forward and hits his brother in the back of the head with a huff. "Shut up."
"You shut up." Adam counters.
They bicker back and forth for a few moments, each trying to get the upper hand. God, why are guys so annoying? Georgia can't help but curse not being born into a family of sisters, wishing that the day her mom brought home a Luca she instead brought home a Lucy.
"Both of you shut up!" She snaps, sending a glare at each of them as they pull up to a red light. "Adam I have no idea why you're saying anything because you're almost as unprepared as he is. If you don't stop arguing I swear to God I'll kick you out right now and you can get an Uber."
