The sky above had darkened to a deep, ominous gray, heavy with the promise of an impending downpour. The air was charged with electricity, the scent of rain mingling with the earthy aroma of wet asphalt.

Dabi stood beneath the flickering fluorescence of the parking garage, her silhouette cast long and distorted by the stuttering light.

Her cigarette burned with an ember glow amidst the cold onslaught of rain.

As the first fat drops began to fall, Dabi tilted her head back, letting the rain patter against her face, a cool caress against the heat of her skin.

For a moment, she felt like she was standing at the edge of everything, suspended between the past and the future, between the storm and the calm.

The cigarette hung loosely between her fingers, forgotten for a moment as she watched the rain dance in the beams of the flickering lights. Each droplet was a tiny universe, born in the heavens and falling to earth in a delicate ballet of gravity and grace. There was a kind of beauty in the chaos, in the way the world seemed to come alive with the rhythm of the storm.

But beauty was a fleeting thing, a fragile illusion in a world stained with darkness. Dabi knew that better than most.

She took a long drag from her cigarette, letting the smoke fill her lungs and chase away the chill of the rain. It burned in her chest, a familiar pain that grounded her in the present, in the reality of her existence.

Above her, thunder rumbled, a low, menacing growl that echoed through the concrete labyrinth of the parking garage. Lightning slashed across the sky, illuminating the world for a fleeting moment before plunging it back into darkness

But Dabi was no stranger to chaos. She took another drag from her cigarette, letting the smoke curl around her like a protective cloak.

Beneath the relentless assault of rain and thunder, she felt strangely at peace.

The world was a harsh and unforgiving place, but in the shelter of the parking garage, surrounded by the sound of rain and the comforting embrace of smoke, Dabi found a kind of comfort.

For now, at least, she was safe from the storm raging outside.

Her attention was drawn away from the storm by the insistent buzzing of her phone. With a frown, she fished it out from the depths of her jacket pocket, the screen illuminating with the caller ID displaying her boyfriend's name.

Before she could even consider answering, a shadow materialized behind her, a figure moving soundlessly through the dimly lit parking garage. Startled, she turned, only to find herself face to face with her boyfriend, a mischievous glint in his eyes.

"Hey babe," he greeted, his voice barely audible over the sound of raindrops drumming against the concrete floor. His hand darted out, swift and sure, plucking the cigarette from between her fingers before she could react.

Dabi's initial surprise melted into a playful scowl as she watched him bring the cigarette to his lips, taking a long, leisurely drag.

"Hey, that's mine," she protested half-heartedly, though the corners of her lips twitched with amusement. She couldn't stay mad for long, not when faced with the sight of him standing there, rain-soaked and looking hot as hell.

He grinned, the corners of his mouth quirking upwards in a charming smirk. "Just borrowing it," he replied, his tone unrepentant. "Besides, sharing is caring, right?"
