T.W: Blood, (Accidental) Murder
||
Jisung was working on his PC alongside Chan in solitude.
He didn't bother to look at Chan until he couldn't hear the sound of Chan's keyboard clicking. Glancing over, Jisung noticed Chan had dozed off. Well, he wasn't surprised. They didn't even sleep last night because of their deadline.
"Chan Hyung..hey..wake up. We need to finish this song within tonight." Jisung nudged, gently shaking his shoulder.
Chan groaned in response. "Urgh. My head hurts so much." Chan said and went back to writing lyrics even though he could barely keep his eyes open.
"Would you like some coffee? I can make some for you. You have to finish the lyrics Chan Hyung. Please. Everything is in your hands now."
"Sure. I would love some coffee right now."
"Wait here. I am going to the kitchen to make some coffee." Jisung said and stood up.
"Be careful. Don't do anything stupid."
"Hyung it's just coffee. There is nothing to be careful about."
"Can't trust your clumsy ass. It scares me sometimes."
"Why are you getting scared about me making coffee? What's the worst that can happen while making coffee? It's not like I will end up killing you. Lol," Jisung said chuckling.
"I still have my doubts about it. Also, why are you saying lol out loud? We are not texting dumbass."
"Gen Z things. A boomer like you won't understand. (A.N: Jisung Chan is Gen Z too-) Jisung bragged and went inside the kitchen while Chan sighed at his friend's bullying.
Well, he doesn't mind actually. To be honest he enjoys them. It's his friends' (un)funny jokes and teasing that help him keep going. He wouldn't be able to come this far without them. Not after he lost him.
"Nah. Not now." Chan tried to shake off the boy's thoughts from his mind and decided to concentrate on his work.
Jisung put some water in the heater and kept waiting for it to get hot. Just then his stomach growled. Well, nothing surprising. He didn't eat anything for quite long. All they were doing was work and work. Deadlines sure are the worst.
"Why don't I make a sandwich for myself in the meantime?" Jisung thought and went towards the freeze to get the ingredients. Getting those he came back to the kitchen and started cutting tomatoes. Just then the heater beeped alarming the water was hot.
Hearing that Jisung ran towards it still with the knife in his hand. Accidentally knocking over a tomato on his way. He picked up the heater and ran back to the counter. But he bumped into the door and the heater fell off from his hand making a loud sound. Scattering water on the floor.
"Shit," he said under his breath.
Meanwhile, Chan was startled by the sudden sound and looked towards the kitchen.
"Jisung. What was the sound?" Chan asked yelling.
"It- it's nothing Hyung. Don't worry about it." Jisung yelled back panicking. The last thing he wanted was for Chan to laugh at his clumsiness. The one he was warned about. It was obvious he didn't want to be embarrassed.
"But what was the sound though? Did you mess up?"
"I told you it's nothing. You wait there. I am coming with the coffee in a minute."
