The Wedding of the Century: A Naxie Story (3/3)

Untitled Part 7

Friday night Maxie and Lulu went to check out the clothing sent over to the metro court.

Carly "I have the racks right in this room.  They are safely locked up so only those involved with the show can access them."

Maxie "Alright.  Lets go see which ones are for who."

Lulu looks at one labeled for her and says "Oo I love this pattern.  I love the fabric.  It's so soft."

Carly "You girls are doing a great thing for the shelter.  I know that the nurses ball does aids research but this is a great cause too."

Maxie "Thanks Carly.  I was surprised that not many people are so aware of it.  I knew I had to help when I got my $35,000 dress for only $1500."

Carly "That is a deal you can't pass up."

Lulu "It's also what got my husband to be part of the boy toy auction tomorrow.  Bribery and guilt."

Maxie "You are so good at that.  I just tell Nathan I refuse to lose a fight and he gives in."

Carly "Girls let me tell you something.  As much as bribery and begging comes in handy don't expect it to work every time.  Sometimes you have to use your mind or your body to get what you want.  Other times you have to cut the man off which makes him want to do whatever you ask so he can get love from you again."

Maxie "Wow.  I guess I forgot how devious you are.   I thought I was bad.  I've got nothing on you Carly."

Lulu "Hey I don't think Nathan wants a woman to deceive him."

Maxie "Yes he is a good man.  I can't do that.  Plus he's too hot for me to cut him off.  I just would give into his smile like two minutes after cutting him off."

Lulu "Yeah.  You're way too into Nathan to ever successfully cut him off sexually."

Maxie "Okay well enough about that.  Let's look at the rest of the clothing and lock up."

Lulu looks at the racks and Maxie comments on everything.

Carly locks the door behind them as they leave telling them "So what time will I be seeing you tomorrow?"

Lulu "12 pm."

Carly "Alright I will be ready to open the room again."

That night Nathan got a call saying a murder had taken place.

He kissed Maxie's cheek before he and Dante went to go examine the scene.

They were so shocked to find the body of a female with reddish brown hair and small frame.

Dante "Is that who I think it is?"

Nathan "Who would murder Ellie Trout?"

Dante "I don't know but this is awful timing.  The show is in 7 hours and we are supposed to be a part of it.  Instead we are solving Ellie Trout's murder."

Nathan "We are cops.  It's our main job.  We have to solve this quickly and not let the girls down."

Dante "Alright let's look for any evidence as to who did it."

Nathan combs through the area searching for a clue calling in Jordin for back up.

Jordin arrives on scene "Did you find a clue?"

Nathan "I found this strand of brown hair and this gun."

Jordin "Bag it and send it off to the lab.  You may be able to make it to the show after all detectives."

Nathan "I really don't want to let Maxie down."

With an hour to spare prior to the fashion show Nathan gets the results back saying that Damien Spinelli was a match to the gun and the hair.
