"Robin!"

Beast Boy's scream echoed Titan's Tower and successfully woke Peter up with a start. He shot up in bed with wide eyes as shouting could be heard from outside his room. It was his first day of training and already his heart was racing. There was something that sounded like a lion before pounding hooves clapped against the floor and then a slicing sound whipped through the air before utter silence.

Peter's phone rang from under his pillow and that's when he realized he was holding his breath ever since he'd opened his eyes. He quickly released it before answering his phone and wedging it between his ear and shoulder. He threw the blankets off and stood up to stretch. At first, he was against spending the night away from his dads but he remembered his Pop's words and decided if he wanted to be a world-saving superhero he could at least go a day and a bit away from his parents.

"Hello?"

"Pete, please for the love of god give your boyfriend a call!"

"Huh? Harley, why? What happened?" Peter asked.

"He won't leave us alone!" Harley exclaimed in annoyance. "I mean, personally I don't mind having the red spandex wandering around the tower. But he's getting on Uncle Bucky and Uncle Sam's nerves and they're this close to checking if he can really heal from all injuries."

Peter's eyes widened. "Oh, oh... Okay, don't worry, I'll call him. Right now, I'll call him right now."

"Good, okay, I'm hanging up then," Harley said.

"Okay," Peter absentmindedly nodded. "No, wait! Harls, wait!"

"What Pete?"

"What about you and Morgan? How are you guys doing?"

"We're fine. Why, what's wrong?" Harley asked, sounding skeptical.

"Nothing," Peter shook his head even though his brother couldn't see it. "Why would you think something's wrong?"

"Because we spoke to you yesterday morning," Harley stated. "Also, you forget I know you. I recognize that tone in your voice. What is it? What's bothering you?"

"N-Nothing-- "

"Peter Parker!" Harley demanded.

Peter sighed, sitting on the edge of his bed as he stared out of the large glass window overlooking the city.

"It's nothing actually it's just my first day of training. I guess I'm nervous. I don't think I fit in here at all, Harl," Peter admitted.

"Of course you don't," Harley bluntly agreed.

"Thanks, I feel much better now," Peter retorted.

"You just got there yesterday, Peter. You know nothing about them and they know nothing about you. It's going to take time to become a team with them. It's not just going to happen overnight," Harley stated.

"Remember Dad and Pop's telling us the story of how the Avengers became a team. They fought and got on each other's nerves. It was messy and an agent even died. Eventually, for the greater good and the bigger picture, they set their differences aside and worked together. Then after the world was saved they had shwarma and bonded. Things take time and there are always some bumps and potholes along the way."

"Yeah, you're right," Peter sighed, accepting reality.

"Of course I am, I'm a genius!" Harley bragged.
