I don't know what's more frustrating, the fact that my Aunt would ask me a ton of questions tomorrow or the arrival of Kim Mingyu here. I guess, I would go for the second one.
I immediately put on a long face when he noticed me standing at a short distance while entering the lawn with Chan.
"Oh, I see", my skin crawls when he gives a full smile and walks to my direction instead.
"Hey, Kyungmi!", Chan excitedly greets and I ignore the other one, to smile at him as we high five each other.
"I think, you like my friend more than me", Mingyu states, trying to tease me, as I pressed my lips together. "Atleast, he isn't irritating like you".
"See, she already loves me, unlike you", said Chan, with a boyish grin, making me smile at his playful behaviour.
"Good for you", Mingyu counters in a serious tone, before giving me a smirk. "I've captured her mind with my thoughts".
His words only make me scoff while Chan's eyes grow wide. He was back at his over-confident gestures.
"I am amazed! What are you doing here without an invitation?", I ask tauntingly. Must've sounded rude.
"I think you're mistaking there", Mingyu laughs. "I'm here because my - I mean, your sister invited me. And she's",
"I don't care about whatever the excuse you're putting up. But, I don't want you here!"
"Do you think that matters, sweetheart?", his voice laconic, as if he has grown tired of this behaviour of her. A frown makes it's way to my face. I was persistent to make him leave, being sure that he had nothing to do with Yeri.
But then, we saw her approaching us with confusion all over her face. "What's happening here?", she asks them.
Agitation took me when Mingyu started speaking before I would. "Nothing, Yeri. It's just your sister refusing to accept me as your guest". He talks, feigning disappointment.
