"Have you taken everything you wanted? Oh, darling, I'm going to miss you so much! Is your phone charged? Have you bought your passport? Are your tickets in your bag? Have you packed your clothes properly? And your toiletries? And--"

"Mom! Calm down! I've taken everything I need okay, just please.. Calm down." I let out a sigh I didn't even know I was holding in.

To be honest I was much more tense and nervous than my mother because I'm the one going on the trip all alone, well obviously my 2 best friends who pulled me in, but then again, I don't feel they really are my best friends.

I put my hands on her shoulder and said, "Don't worry, I will be fine mom. Hopefully," I hugged her, whispering the last word.

"Oh, sweetie," I had a feeling she would cry any moment now.

Soon enough I heard a whistle; our teachers were calling us to load the baggage. My father wasn't able to come drop me. He was on a business trip to Australia. So I had said my goodbyes before he left last night. But here is my mom, about to burst out any moment.

I quickly waved her and went to our group head, Mr. Morgan. He was a tall clean shaved American, who always wore a brown jacket over whatever outfit he wears. His shoes had that polished end that made a click sound whenever he walked.

Needless to say, I was the first in line, since everyone else were taking selfies with their friends or parents. I'm sure it would be up on Instagram any moment from now, with a cliché caption. Something like Paris, here I come!

Now because it was the spring break, the Airport was very crowded. I couldn't see who all would be coming on this trip with us from school. Not that it matters, but at least I should know who all will I be with for the next 3 days.

So our principal decided it would be an 'educational experience' if we went to Paris for a couple of days, although I don't know how. Obviously, everyone at St. Louis High took it otherwise, after all, Paris is known as the city of love! The trip was supposed to be a whole lot longer, around 7 days, but it was cut short because of some unforeseen circumstances.

I, however, am going to find out those reasons when I get back to school after spring break, because; one: I am curious, and a little angry. Curious because it killed the cat, and angry because dude, if you are going on a trip far away with a big number of students (40, in our case) you might as well plan it properly! Paris is a big big city to discover.

And two, I am a really good detective; thank you very much. I enjoy solving mysteries.

Anyways, I made a mental note to see who all will be coming with us on the plane.

Mr. Morgan helped me load my luggage after the labels were attached by the staff. He handed the boarding pass to me, and I immediately put it in my bag. By now, everyone was assembling in a line behind me. Needless to stay, excitement and non stop chattering about the Eiffel Tower filled the air.

After saying our last good byes to our families, we headed to the lounge where we had our quick snacks that included fries, burgers and an ice cream. My friends; Jackie and Mary; and I sat in a cornered booth. We took a medium size packet of french fries and a bowl of chocolate ice cream to share, and a burger for each.

"Oh my God! I'm so excited! I bet we're gonna have, like, so much fun!" Jackie said. Just so you didn't know, she's a typical blonde.

"Oh my gosh! I know right! I heard Marcus say that his father has helped him rent a boat! He said he will be having a party without the permission of the teachers." Mary finished excitedly.
