Once upon a time a brave and mighty nation stood tall. Little boys and girls played together in the streets, whilst mommies and daddies worked hard to make sure everyone was safe and sound. Everyone was happy in this brave nation, until an evil god and his tyrant king decided that happiness shouldn't last.

The brave soldiers of the great nation found the super-secret plans of the evil people and rushed home as fast as they could. Once they were safe and sound, they told their magnanimous king

"Oh great lord, the devils plan to kill us!" as they shook in horror.

"Fear not my brave warrior, we shall not allow that to happen." The king spoke, standing tall.

The king gathered his council to bring together the mightiest army alongside his three strongest soldiers.

A Human of unparalleled strength.

An Elf of strategic genius.

A Dwarf of brilliant craftsmanship.

Together, they took glorious war to the devils. Together, they knocked on hells door.

And together, they killed the evil god and his king.

With all the devils dead, the heroes returned home to their king, and the people took to the streets to celebrate. Children once again played together in the streets, and cheers from all could be heard in praise of their saviours. And to this day, that brave and mighty nation still stands tall.

The End

"And that's why we celebrate Dicathian day tomorrow, right mommy?" The little girl, tucked into bed asked excitedly.

"That's right dear. Are you excited for tomorrow?" The mother asked with a warm smile plastered across her face.

"I am! We made cakes at school today to sell tomorrow!" The girl beamed.

The proud mother rustled her daughters' short locks before laying down the story book on the bedside table and walking over to the door. Just as she began to close the door a quiet voice rang out from the dark room.

"Is it true that none of the soldiers died fighting that day, mommy?" Her beady eyes poked out from under the duvet.

The mother smiled through the crack in the doorway. "You know its true dear. The devils could only run away from our great soldiers."

The girl giggled happily as she kicked her feet up and down in bed. "I know! Daddy always tells me stories from when he fought there!"

"That's your father alright. Always sooo proud of his knighthood." The woman breathed out hopelessly with a chuckle. "Sleep tight Alicia, don't let the devils nibble your toes!"

"I won't! Goodnight mommy." The girl yawned, rolling over onto her side before closing her eyes.

The door closed, and the room went dark.

And thus, all was good on the continent. There was no war. There was no hunger. The people lived together in harmony. This peace would last for many more years.

But nothing lasts forever.

One man would ensure that.

For the Shattered Throne forgives none.
