"That's the only way you'll survive."

As Reinhard stood, his resolve solidified, echoing Jonathan's words in his mind. He knew the road ahead would be fraught with challenges, but he was determined to embrace his new life in this strange world. With a firm grip on his resolve, he set his sights forward, ready to confront this new world.

Reinhard looked at Jonathan with determination. "Tell me what I need to do to survive," he said firmly.

Jonathan met Reinhard's gaze, noticing the fire in his eyes. That fire... it reminds me of the one I had back then, he thought.

"At first, if you want to survive, you'll need to train and purchase skills with your skill points," Jonathan explained. "Once you've done that, it'll be time to hunt monsters to level up."

Reinhard pondered Jonathan's words. Skills and leveling up, it's really like a video game, except here I only have one life, he thought, touching his chest where the monster had inflicted wounds.

Reinhard stood up and looked Jonathan straight in the eyes.

"So, what skills do I need to buy?" he asked.

"I suggest you buy Appraisal, even though it's a basic one, at low levels. Then there's Magic Power Perception and Magic Power Operation, which are essential for using magic. You might also need to buy resistances and magics, but stick to the cheaper ones," Jonathan advised.

"Alright... How do I go about buying them?" Reinhard inquired.

Jonathan sighed before responding, "Just focus on wanting the skill, and the divine voice will offer it to you at a certain price, which varies depending on your compatibility with that skill."

Reinhard pondered Jonathan's advice. Alright, focus on wanting the skill... he thought. Taking a deep breath, he concentrated on acquiring the Appraisal skill, hoping that the divine voice would offer it to him at a reasonable price.

<Number of skill points currently in possession: 40 000. Number of skill points required to acquire skill [Appraisal LV 1]: 2000. Acquire skill?>

Reinhard's eyes widened in astonishment as he read the response from the divine voice. 40,000 skill points? How is that possible? he wondered, feeling a mix of confusion and disbelief. And why do I have skill points in the first place? Despite his uncertainty, he couldn't ignore the opportunity before him. With a determined nod, he responded, "Acquire skill."

<[Appraisal LV 1] acquired. Remaining skill points: 38 000.>

After acquiring the Appraisal skill, Reinhard repeated the process for Magic Power Perception and Magic Power Operation. As he confirmed the acquisition of each skill, he couldn't help but feel a sense of awe and gratitude for the abundance of skill points at his disposal.

Magic Power Perception and Magic Power Operation... he thought, marveling at the ease with which he obtained them. I still have 37,000 skill points left. I'm glad these two skills only cost 500 points each. Reinhard couldn't shake off the feeling of disbelief at his sudden acquisition of skills and the sheer number of skill points he possessed. Nevertheless, he couldn't deny the excitement and anticipation bubbling within him as he contemplated the possibilities that lay ahead.

Reinhard, eager to test the newly acquired skill, decided to use Appraisal on the bed. Let's see what this skill can reveal, he thought, his curiosity piqued. So he decided to use Appraisal on the bed.

<Bed>

A sense of disappointment washed over him. Even though I was warned it would be useless at first, I still hoped for more, he thought ruefully.

While Jonathan observed Reinhard's reaction with a small smile, Reinhard couldn't help but feel a bit embarrassed by his own eagerness and subsequent disappointment.
