"Me and Severus Snape are two different people. He is a Professor and i am a student. He was much older than me. He had not a care in the world about me. But i was just there wanting him, like a dog admiring a treat. There were days were it was hard to just ignore my heart, especially when it was longing for the comfort of another beating heart. But we are like salt and sugar. We are like the day and the night. We are like the sun and moon. Unfortunately these are things that are opposite each other.
But those things always meet.
And when they do, it creates something beautiful.
For example sweet and salty popcorn. Its the perfect combination between sweet and salty. Its not too sweet where i get a headache from the extreme amounts of sugar intake and not so salty where i squeal at the taste.
What about a sun rise/set? The transition from day to night creates a picturesque scenery out a of a romance movie where the main character and their love interest kiss. Its something id want to experience.
Another instance is when a sun and moon meet except they rarely do, and when they do it produces an eclipse. So pretty but harmful if you don't protect yourself properly from it.
So what was stopping me and him when we can potentially be something so beautiful together?"
Y/n leaned back on the chair she is in just staring blankly at the piece of paper with scawls of her thoughts on it.
Y/n looked outside of the ornate window and saw a moving slender figure y/n was familiar with.
There he was.
There he was again, at 6:30 AM taking a morning stroll in the presence of the sun rising above the horizon casting swatches of cotton candy pink and amber across the sky, like he usually does every single day.
In this serene moment y/n would watch him take moments to appreciate the mesmerising scenery mother nature has created, losing him in a pool of his very reserved thoughts.
Even though in this very moment where there are no traces of students being around at this very hour and the air being filled with quietude, his thoughts would be blocked off with the tough, thick concrete walls y/n was often met with. Y/n often found it hard to keep out of peoples minds. Especially with a man so cold and confidential like Professor Snape. This made y/n mimic Snape into a pool of thoughts.
What secrets could hide within Professor Snape? Thinking about it was giving y/n a headache, especially with all the stress piling onto her these last couple of days.
Just when she thought she solved the puzzle of him it seems like he got it all muddled up again. Which made her go back to the same question.
"What secrets could hide within Professor Snape?" Y/n pondered.
What could hide within the obsidian locks that rests on his broad shoulders? Or his sleep deprived eyes which resemble the blackness of his inky robes that sculpts his slender body?
A huge sigh escapes for her lips showing her obvious substation.
"i guess only merlin knows." she says trying to shrug it off and then lazily rests her head in her hands on the aged wooden table.
She watches as Snape finally walks away from her eyeshot and then sighs again as she has to focus on her own problems.
Y/n recently returned to Hogwarts school of Witchcraft and Wizardry, after taking a 2 year long break, to complete her final years at Hogwarts.
Coming back to Hogwarts wasn't easy. At all.
Firstly, She has to deal with catching up on 2 years worth of lost learning time. Ever since she came back to Hogwarts, a few days ago during Christmas break, her top priority was to visit the school library and get to studying. Y/n didn't know how she was going to catch up with her fellow classmates. She barely knows what to do when school starts.
How her peers are going to bombard her with questions like:
"where were you for all these years?"
Or how students will react to her contrasting appearance from what she looked like two years ago.
"Merlin, what happened to you?"
Before y/n had beautiful long strands that extended to her mid back. Y/n took pride in taking care of her hair, putting it in gorgeous up-does and braids.
She'd always get compliments from her peers and professors which would light her melancholy days.
But y/n was far from those days.
Because now she cut her once beautiful (h/c) locs into a messy bob.
Y/n always chased after that light. She always needed someone there to bring shine into her. Getting through the day was hard enough for her. Life always seemed to hit her hard sometimes she needed it all to stop, to catch a break. Inside her head she was battling a war with herself. Just like she wrote on that old piece of scrappy paper y/n needed a sun to her moon. An eclipse.
Some would argue that her new haircut suited her face and enhanced her already lovely appearance.
But for y/n it was a big change.
Or what about the newfound thin scar on her face that stretched from her left check bones to her eyebrow causing a slit?
What about her new odd sense of style?
Thinking about it all gave her anxiety. It was always there in the back of her mind ready to strike at the worse times. When it did strike it felt like a vine of thorns wrapping against y/n heart and lungs, squeezing and piercing y/n with its poisonous razors which infected her mind.
Luckily for her, There was little to no students around which made it easier to sneak about, blending in with the shadows of the school Since pretty much no one, apart from Dumbledore, was aware of her presence in this castle. So y/n had time to think about what she can do.
Maybe she can pretend nothing happened?
"ill think about this all later.." she muttered, getting up from her slouched position, dipped her quill in the small container of ink, grabbed her note book and started studying away religiously on the beige lined paper within it.
