Starstruck Lovers

Chapter 1 - Background

                      Melissa was walking down to her class when she passed him, William. William was skipping class with his friends to go down to the skatepark. Melissa wanted to go but didn't know how because she was not friends with William even though they'd known each other since 3rd grade. Melissa built up the courage to walk up to William. Melissa said, "Will can I skip class with you all?" William said, "Sure if you want." One of his friends said, "Will you know this loser?" William said, "She's not a loser, she's been my best friend since third grade." That sentence replayed in Melissa's mind "She's been my best friend since third grade." William says, "Mel you coming?" Melissa exited her trance and said, "Yeah I'm coming."

After they left the school they found Jonah and Calah at the skatepark. Milissa asked Jonna why he was there. Jonna said, "I'm here with Calah, is that wrong?" Melissa said, "No but Mom will be mad at you if you ditch." Jonna says "So I'd rather be grounded than go to school." Melissa said, "Boy I'm gonna rat you out to Mom and she will not be happy." Jonna says "Sure go ahead I don't care." Melissa rolls her eyes.

Jonna left and so did Calah; Will and his friends took over the place where Jonna and Calah were. Will and his friend were talking then Will looked over to Melissa and she was sitting on the phone; Will had thought Melissa was there to hang out with him but she wasn't hanging out with him she was sitting on her own. 

Will asked Melissa "Mel why aren't you over here?" Melissa replied, "Well I don't want to bother you and your friends." William responded, "You are one of my friends aren't you?" Mel says "I guess."
