The Dream

The beginning

     It was a hot summer's eve when Tracy was walking down a narrow hallway. Tears rushing down her face, her hands trembling, she grabbed the curtain and pulled it open  there she saw him laying on the floor blood rushing out of his mouth. She looked at him and he looked at her then he said...

    "Tracy wake up!!" Josh screamed. She woke up with a start sweat dripping down her forehead and body. "What was the dream this time?" he asked. Tracy didn't want to tell him he was murdered in her dream so she just looked at him and then looked down. She loved Josh with all of her heart she didn't want to loose this relationship because of her dreams, after all they were just dreams.

     "How about some breakfast?" she asked as she pulled her strait blonde hair up into a ponytail. She had gorgeous big blue eyes and skin soft as velvet. "Sounds great sweetie. You know I think you should see someone about your dreams Trace I mean its been 2 weeks now." Josh said concerned. He had dark brown hair and bright green eyes. He had been worried about Tracy ever since she moved in with him. He looked at her waiting for a answer but nothing came just silence.

     "Joshua I don't need to see anyone I am just stressed about the wedding that is all." she answered almost in a whisper. Tracy and Joshua had known each other for 3 years now she met him at a church camp. Josh smiled and pulled her in close and kissed her on the nose. He treated her so well and was so passionate she was almost scared of it. "I love you so much Trace never forget that, promise?" He said touching her lips. "I promise." Tracy replied smiling. She started toward the kitchen when the phone rang. "I will get it!" Tracy yelled.

"Hello this is Tracy."

"Hi, my name is Doctor Rynellds, is Joshua Winners there?" she asked in a rather high pitched annoying voice.

"Yes one minute please." she responded "Hey Josh phone for you!" Tracy exclaimed she wondered what was going on maybe just a checkup. Josh took the phone and walked in the other room. Tracy started breakfast but could not stop thinking about her past couple dreams about Josh. Either he ends up killed or dies from a disease. Wait!  She thought. Why is doctor Rynellds calling him? Is he dying? Did they find cancer or diabetes? How much longer does he have? All these questions running through her head she fell on the floor shaking and crying the pan of bacon fell over. Josh ran out and saw her laying on the floor.

"Tracy are you alright hun?" He asked with a shaking voice. She nodded her head but couldn't speak. He helped her up and took her to the nearest chair. She sat there staring blankly out the window of the kitchen. She turned to him and asked " Why did the doctor call?" He looked at her with a rather blank stare, " I am fine sweetie just a cancer scare is all they got my blood mixed up with another Joshua. Is that why you were on the floor?" She nodded her head then she closed her eyes and the dream began.
