~Buck's POV~

After two hours out of three hours in the sky I sat back down, I was eating my lunch. Right when I threw away my wrapper the ding said someone alerted needing assistance. Hen was in middle row walking a baby back and forth to help the mother since the baby wouldn't stop crying. Chimney was in back of plane helping another passenger. So left me to go help and I left my seat and saw it was Eddie's seat. I walked over to him as I asked.
"Hello how may I help you?"
Eddie chuckled as I saw him smile making me smile.
"My tv isn't working."
I took the aisle seat and he was in the middle, again having the whole row to himself.
"Here let me see."
The tv was on the seat in front of him. As I leaned forward to see what it was saying. I found settings and hit few buttons on it. Then the screen came to life and was playing a movie. I felt my cheeks blush as I saw what was playing. Eddie must of not noticed until I heard him curse under his breath, in Spanish. I knew what he said since I worked as bartender in Peru one summer. It's not exactly same as his Spanish from Mexico but I understood it enough to know he was surprised it resumed where he was.
"Uh so it's fixed."
I don't know why but I glanced over again and now he had it paused.
"Uh thanks don't know why it went out."
"Sometime with wind it can mess up with our system. If happens again just hit button again and I'll come fix it."
"Thanks Buck."
"No problem.. enjoy your movie."
I stood up and walked away to go down aisle to see if anyone needed help. I've seen plenty of movies this way with what people watch. From comedies, first responder shows or even like Eddie was wagging Brokeback Mountain, it was the camping tent scene.

After the plane landed I got the mic off the stand and thanked everyone for flying with us and mentioned that you could take your phone out of airplane mode.
"Thanks again have a good time in New York!"
Eddie was first to get off and I did wave to him as he left. I waved at everyone and said bye again. I heard the pilots door open and glanced over. I saw Tommy look at me with smile before turning back to the door.

After last passenger left we got our own bags and left with the pilots. Now the cleaners cleaned up the inside and outside.

Four days later of flying with Tommy now as captain was getting better. Yet I kept catching him looking at me when we would all leave the plane. I tried not stare back but I did anyway. I could look but not touch I told myself.

Finally back in Los Angeles I was getting ready to go to Bobby's retirement party. I parked my Jeep side of the road being the Nash Grant's driveway was full of cars. I got my gift off the passenger seat and walked out. Locking my Jeep I made my way up the stairs.

I went to knock but the door opened and Albert, Chimney's younger brother who was still in flight attendant school opened it.
"Heyy you made it!"
He slurred his hey and I smiled.
"Hi yeah where is everyone?"
"Outside. Ooh gift that's good idea. I forgot but don't worry Chimney said we should share the gift."
"I did not say that! Maddie and I got him a gift I said you should've gotten him something!"
Albert let me in making me chuckle at the Han brothers. I sometimes wished I had a brother but I was thankful for having Maddie, my older sister.

I set the gift with the others but Bobby walked in from his backyard and saw me.
"Hey Buck."
"Hey captain."
"Hey I'm not that anymore. Just Bobby."
I picked up my gift and held it out for him.
"I guess so but you'll always be my captain."
Bobby set down his paper plate on the counter before walking over to me.
"You want me to open it now?"
"Yeah..if you want."

As he opened his gift I bite my lip little nervous

As he opened his gift I bite my lip little nervous. Like what if he hates it? Or laughs or doesn't want it?

After he unwrapped it I saw his smile.
"Buck this is..wow.."
"You hate it?"
"What? No I love it."
We both looked at the gift. It was a wood canvas with his award, how long he's been a pilot, the name of the airline, the date from his first flight and the name of the last flight he did. Bobby sat it and then we hugged. I smiled in the hug and closed my eyes for second and then when we pulled apart I saw by the stairs was Tommy. He must of just left their upstairs bathroom. I looked away quickly feeling my cheeks get warm.
"Thank you Buck I'm gonna miss you. Don't tell anyone but you were my favorite."
"I knew it."
We laughed and he patted my shoulder and took his paper plate into kitchen. After he threw it away I saw Tommy walk over to me.
"Thirsty?"
He asked and I nodded.
"Yeah.."
We walked into kitchen together and he opened a beer for me.
"Thanks."
"No problem."
"I should be the one owing you a beer."
I said as I took a long drink of the beer.
"Why?"
I heard Tommy ask. I swallowed the beer before answering.
"Since you flew us to New York and even to Portland this last few days. You a good pilot."
"Thanks.. Evan. You are to kind to say that."
"I mean it you are like a natural. Born to do it I noticed."
"Oh really you noticed?"
I drank my beer before I could spill more like how off clock I took a shower thinking about him. Yet beer wasn't going to help. It was like the truth drink big reason I didn't drink it much.
