The tale of a human and a shadow wolf, two completely different worlds, come together to end a war that was never meant to happen in the first place.

Not so long ago, a war between realms took place. Of the Shadow Realm and of the Human Realm. The third realm was meant to keep peace between the other two. Where did it all go wrong?, nobody truly knows…

Or do they?

“RUN!” Yelled a male middle-aged, dark short hair, brown eyes about 6”1 in height, as he held the heavy steel door shut the best he could. “NO I WON'T LEAVE YOU HERE!” replied his daughter, early twenties, long dark hair brown eyes and 5”6, as she stared back with tears in her eyes, finally after a few minutes of arguing, the male grabbed his daughter's hand and they ran out to the barn where the unknown creatures were already waiting, although there was one particular one that wasn't trying to attack. In the heat of the moment the male threw his daughter on a huge roan coat Shire mare that was still wearing a halter, the last thing the girl remembered seeing was her father being stabbed and the other horses charging out the barn as it went up in flames.

After several hours of riding the mare came to a stop by a pond deep within the black forest, rustling sounds came from the bushes nearby, a big rabbit hopped out from the bushes followed by three kits. The girl sighed in relief that it was only a rabbit and her babies. She tied the mare to a log that had fallen many years ago. She took off her jacket and slid off her jeans before jumping in the cold water. There were many fish swimming in the pond, big, small, fat, and skinny. The girl got out of the dark cold water just as the sun was setting and redressed. “You'll catch a cold wearing wet clothes, my dear” said a voice. Puzzled and frightened, the girl rose to her feet and spun in circles, trying to see where the voice came from. “Who's there?” she asks, “behind you dear” said a tall, dark animal like creature. “The names Maverick, Maverick Sallow, you're the girl from the old farm house a few miles back, I oughta say that horse of yours is fast, but she's not fast enough to outrun me”. “Iris” she replied. “My name is Iris, and I wasn't trying to outrun anyone. The horse was frightened by the flames”. “Say what you want princess, but just know, you're mine” Maverick pins Iris to a tree staring into her eyes. “And once I want something, I don't let it go”.
