chapter two

"CATE! COME ON WAKE UP!"

Laying in bed with my head buried under my pillows I try to shake off my dream while ignoring Alex at the same time.

I'm sure I have at least another thirty

seconds before she finishes picking the lock to my room.

"Cate if you make us late cause you want to sleep in all day I'm going make sure that you regret it."

20 seconds. I wonder what her name was. Mistress what?

"CATERINA WAKE THE HELL UP!"

15 seconds. By the clothes and objects in the room id say mid 16th century. Accents were English?

All of a sudden blankets are ripped off me and my pillow which was keeping out the sunlight was beating me in the back of the head. Rolling over I grab the pillow from Alex's hands an throw it across the room.

"That took you ten seconds shorter then I expected." I say as I sit up and except the coffee she had sat on my night stand.

"Yes well you can thank your sleeping habits for that." Alex said as she walked into my suites bathroom.

"Yeah sorry haven't been sleeping well lately" I said as I followed her in and turned on the shower.

"Where'd you go this time?" Alex asked as she sat on the granite counter an began applying makeup.

"England. I think."

"hmm well Id forget about it for now cause if you don't hurry up were going to be late, and you know how grandfather is." Alex said as she gave me a look through the mirror.

Getting undressed and hopping in the shower I did the suggested and put the dream to the back of my thoughts for the moment. Alex was right, today was not the day to get distracted. After all today was our 21st birthday

Looking at myself in the mirror,I did a once over of my appearance. Most girls on their 21st birthday would be putting on something to wear out to the bar in celebration of being of legal drinking age. I on the other hand will be celebrating my teleporting powers coming into full bloom and traveling through time for the first time. Not knowing exactly where or when I would be going I had opted for skinny jeans, leather boots that came up to my calves black t-shirt and a leather jacket. To finish it off I put my hair in a high pony tail and called it a day. Thankfully I had inherited my mothers complexion so there was little need for makeup and my fathers super straight hair so a once over with a brush was all I really needed to be ready.

"Ok ok we all know your beautiful. But there's no need to be vane about it." Alex said smiling as she headed for the door "Come on our futures await...rrr well you know what I mean haha."

Just shaking my head at her sense of humor I followed her out of my room and down stairs. Just as we reached the bottom of the stairs Aby came walking in from the the library/ study on the left.

" You guys are almost late" Aby said as she joined us in walking toward the dining room on the right.

"It was Cates fault." Alex said.

"Thanks for putting me under the bus." I said laughing.

"Anytime girly."

As we all walked into the dinning-room we went to our usual seats and said our good mornings to our parents and grandparents. Were not very formal when its just us so we all began filling our plates and began eating while discussing what would happen over the next 3 hours.
